Does anyone else find it hard to believe that on the LAST day of rehab is when they would pull out the grim statistics of how many of them are doomed to fail? For an addict, that's like pretty much handing them an excuse to go back to using. If that really happened, that was a sadistic med student. Basically, s/he was like "you're on your own now losers -- but I'll get another payout when you fail. See you in a couple of months!"

Well, it is quite accurate prognosis for John at least

I mean wanting to stick your cock in a wolf's asshole is one thing but being in the same room as Milo Yiannopolis is just TOO FAR

LOL. John's only mad about Purdue Pharma because now it'll be harder and more expensive for him to get his Ambien fix, and because they pulled a grift he could only dream of.

Those statistics might have some basis in reality for opiates and amphetamines and cocaine, but fucking Ambien? Lol, no chance.

Even his examples about Oxy aren't that convincing when it comes to painting Purdue Pharma as evil (which I 100% think they are). A gay doctor who got hooked on Oxy because of the club scene? He is doctor ffs. He should have known it was addictive and that using any drug you aren't prescribed is not only illegal but also very stupid. A nurse who stole Oxy from work? Another healthcare professional who should have known better. Those 2 examples aren't exactly Purdue Pharma's fault. The first example -- the lady raped and beaten by her stepdad and given the drug in the hospital -- sure that one isn't her fault. But the other 2 were just druggies. The fault is completely theirs. I think Wu gets away with a lot of this stuff because no one really reads what he writes. If people actually paid attention to him, he'd be exposed as the poser that he really is.

"devastating your success in college" so much so that you dropped out three times and never got your degree

Yeah see you at the picket line John, unless one of your video games drops some new DLC.

America's Top Victim strikes again. Wu, cynically mi.lking the "I was an addict" line. He knows full well that if he'd been a smackhead he'd be living in fear of anyone ever discovering he used drugs, never mind this "bravely overcoming addiction" story.

Ambien, for fuck's sake. Despite his oh so tragic story, Wu was only addicted to a sleeping pill and not dirty street junk, making his tear-jerking, at-one-with-the-common-people overcoming of "drug" addiction a mistake that doesn't negatively affect his electability. Not like that pig Stephen Lynch, who was a disgusting alkie and got addicted by choice. Poor heartbroken Wu was merely made a pawn in a big pharma business game by his evil doctor, and did nothing wrong!

He exaggerates his 'accomplishments' to an insane degree so why wouldn't he do the complete opposite to the only failure he's ever admitted to in life? I can believe that he was an addict and what addicts do is downplay the extent of their consumption. He has also said that he's completely drug free except for weed but that doesn't count, gamergate ptsd and shit. Weed is a hundred times the narcotic that ambien is when it comes to enjoyable effects.

Going to rehab for ambien sounds like someone saying that they were in prison but it was just for speeding that one time.

The more I think about it, I don't think he was in rehab at all. I think he was just in the psych ward. They often put addicts in a psych ward, too, to go through withdrawal or if they are poor and can't afford an actual rehab facility. There's a very good possibility that he spent time in a psych ward with drug users, but wasn't really a drug user himself. He may have just lied and said it was an Ambien addiction (because normal people wouldn't stigmatize an Ambien addiction they way they would a heroin addiction) to cover up for the fact that he was, in fact, in there for mental health treatment.

John Flynt, the 300-pound gay man, certainly didn't lose all that weight with hard work and willpower, since he is capable of neither.

His weight-loss regimen probably left him hooked on meth.

Rehab could have been the actual lie and he just had to go to a couple of meetings/seminars of some kind, maybe a christian 'scared straight' type of thing if his parents forced him into it.

If that's true, it surely worked wonders for him.
True, but an involuntary psych eval usually only lasts a week (maybe 2 if you have good insurance). It would take years to fix all that is wrong with Wu, if it is even humanly possible to do so.

The only reason I thought it might have been an in-patient psych ward type of thing was the whole outburst incident he had in college where he called 2 of the editors of the college newspaper a dyke and a sand nigger. I remember reading somewhere that he had an "intervention order" taken out on him after that. That sounds like an involuntary psych evaluation. It also happened, like he claims his rehab did, in college.
** Actually I'm wrong about the intervention order -- that is just like a restraining order. So, nevermind.

I think this is where I read it. Here's the tweet that mentioned the "intervention order":

Edited to avoid double posting. Also edited because I'm wrong about "intervention order".

That doesn't sound any crazier than the shit John does on Twitter every day.

Being screeched at in person by a 300-pound, mentally unhinged, homosexual crankhead might be a little scarier than being tweeted at by an out-of-shape tranny ghoul who only appears in public at sci fi conventions.

According to the ludicrous profile in Inc. magazine:

He went (EDIT: well, claims to have gone) to rehab at Pine Grove, right in his old hometown:

You can see a picture of the exterior here, but it doesn't include the 14 levels of secret sub-basements.
