Also, this is a NET worth statement, which assets - liabilities. Depending on how you report the standings of a home when calculating net worth, that median could easily be explained by an influx of black Bostonians being new homeowners (the money owed on the home is essentially equivalent to its price, which gives it no net effect on your net worth) and a larger percentage of the demographic making less money. By the same margin, more established families would have a higher net worth.
Hell, the article even explains why the net worth is so low.

I'm assuming that's the Switch version of Street Fighter 2, in which case winning online isn't impressive, firstly because half of the people online are literal children, and second because you can win very easily at the starting ranks by using the same move over and over, which is very egregious in this specific version of SF2 which lets you rebind complex inputs to a single button. Cammy in particular has a very spammable uppercut that's difficult to punish if you don't know how.
In other words, Brianna's bragging about minimal competency again.

Man, Wu again evidences what a disingenuous fuck he is. Here the guy is saying "I don't have strong feelings about (people X)" in the same way one might say "I don't have strong feelings about Irish people" while debating the neutrality of a documentary about the IRA- to demonstrate that he is not coming at this from one 'side' or another. But Wu- who happily doesn't bring up his own huge biases here- tries to twist that into something so completely abhorrent and ridiculous that I would not be surprised if he gets in trouble for libel someday for his twitter idiocy. Or punched in the face.

Sorry I'm late in commenting on this, but isn't it funny how Flynt/Wu has done investigative reporting on every topic on which he spews gibberish? It's equally funny that none of these reports can be found anywhere and that Flynt/Wu never mentions which newspaper or magazine he worked at while doing this research. In this case, his claim to have "tracked the money" on the militarization of police departments is especially ludicrous because there is practically no money to track. Almost all military-grade equipment -- automatic weapons, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, and on and on -- is military surplus given to the police by the Department of Defense at no charge whatsoever.

Wu's full of little touches that make her seem less than human. Like in her "I <3 the homeless" email, instead of saying "I had to live out of my car for X amount of time. It was cold and damp, I was fortunate that Y happened to get a roof over my head again." Wu instead feels the important detail is the exact make and model of the car she supposedly lived in. Presumably if you're homeless in a Saab you're less disadvantaged than if you live in a Honda, I don't know.
