So what you're saying John is that it was about ethics in journalism

Nah this never happened. What year was this and which newspaper was it for, John?

That's got to be her boldest made-up work story yet. You'd think she'd tone down the lying now she's supposed to be a politician, but apparently it goes to 11. This is so easy for someone who actually is a journalist to check, the truth is only a Lexis Nexis search away. I'm increasingly pissed that someone can claim to be a political candidate and get away with such outrageous lies on daily basis.

Lie after lie after lie.

Why is it when you search "Brianna Wu" or "John Flynt" you don't find articles until well after gamergate started and they're for blogging websites? Or does "back when" mean a year ago?
Vs several years?

As ever the only reason that made-up story exists is for John to remind everyone how 'ethical' he is.

Because goddammit that's just the kind of stand-up guy he is.

Please RT.

Where's the "viral feminist ad", John?

I seem to remember the actress playing Janeway admitting that Voyager wasn't a great series and that she didn't really enjoy playing her because the character was so terrible. Wu only really gives a shit about Voyager because an attractive woman is in the lead role. If there was a movie featuring Adolf Hitler as a woman, Wu would probably praise it mindlessly and say that Adolfina was an "inspiring and strong character" for rising above the sexism and becoming a dictator when the world demanded that power hungry political leaders all be male or some shit like that.

Did Johnny ever see The Iron Lady?

This is astonishingly implausible, even to somebody without a background in journalism. It's a blatant lie, and it doesn't even hang together well. Breaking it down:

A major health insurer calls a press conference. According to John, they are doing this to announce a marketing campaign. So we've allegedly got a major company marketing its marketing in response to serious concerns about corruption, right off the bat. The CEO himself has turned up to answer reporters' questions, suggesting this is either an incredibly serious scandal/marketing campaign, or didn't actually happen.

John Flynt, an unknown intern, is sent to cover this specialised story. He bravely stands up to ask why they aren't spending this money on the poor sufferers of disease this company is cruelly screwing in some unspecified manner. He intends this as a "gotcha", but had it happened it would have been laughed out the room. If the press conference was about marketing, or even about corruption by the insurer, what does that have to do with the standards of care provided in hospitals partnered with the company / doctors accepting their plans?

By Tweet 5 the press conference was about announcing improving standards of care all along. Not marketing, or even announcements of future marketing. Corruption was four or five lies ago, so even those counting may have forgotten. John Flynt, champion of integrity, refuses to write up the press conference in the way the company wants, and so is punished. Conveniently, he never writes the article, so good luck finding it, techbro berniesogynists.

If you want to know when John is telling the truth, is when he is very specific about the thing that is saying, if that thing he is saying was true he would mention his editor and the newspaper he was just to get internet points

So yeah he is lying, badly, and everyone know his buddies hate fact checks

Why would she stop lying at this point? Why would she stop doing any dumb thing she has ever done? I feel like many of us are watching this thread and waiting for this big moment when she embarrasses herself on such a huge level (like a Howard Dean or Anthony Wiener level) that her career will be ruined. But that will never happen because she does not have a real career!

She just isn't important enough. If she were to all of the sudden no longer exist, I think the only people that would be sad would be us Kiwis who drink up her tard cum, and possibly Frank.
