Here's the e-mail John sent out promoting the Star Wars screening.

Hard to believe that she'll even be in the race when it's released.

The primary isn't until next year, so he'll be around for the screening. This whole campaign is an act of masturbation on John's part, and there's no reason to quit before he loses.

Who's willing to bet this'll be the first time Wu steps foot in the 8th district?

A part of me likes the idea of mixing constituent events with more fun activities like movie nights etc, it might attract otherwise uninterested people and it gives everyone a chance to be more relaxed and maybe more open with ideas.

That being said you'd have to structure an afternoon around political discussion with a movie in the middle to give people a break. Wu's event is essentially just "come see a film with a z-lister larping at politics.

"It's important to meet voters where they live"

It can't be that important, you've literally never done it.

But it's a fundraiser, so John's aiming to fill a theatre with people that paid to be there. I'm sure you could fill up empty seats with random voters, but that's a terribly inefficient way to use your resources ($4K to reach <200 people).

It's even a terrible way of raising money. Even if she sells the place out at 25 bucks a pop, she's still only making 1000 bucks profit on the deal. and that's not including the cut the payment processor takes. Meanwhile, the theatre is making out like a bandit on the whole thing. Even if you believe Wu can dig up 200 people locally who are prepared to pay over the odds to see a film, it seems unlikely they're going to be fanatical enough to donate even more than the asking price.

John could always try a BBQ like the politicians here do...Oh wait! John can't cook worth shit and would end up poisoning everyone.

My mistake, I thought it was more of a campaign event.

That's one of the dumbest ways to make money I've ever heard of. It would probably be more effective for her to try and crowdfund the campaign, after all we know how much money you can raise just be being a troon...I mean 100% honest to God woman.

It's even worse. She has to find 200 people who in addition to all you said, she had to find 200 people who don't simply want a normal, apolitical viewing experience they can share with friends. People go to these vanilla ice cream bug budget movies for stupid, light entertainment, not to have a ghoul yelling at them about phantom gamergators.

Brianna can just use her campaign funds to pay for this, then hope that no one buys tickets and she gets to watch star wars early in an empty theater. She probably ddos'd herself so people can't buy tickets.

Didn't she say she wants to buy out the theater for TWO showings?

That's her plan apparently.

It's amusing looking at her twitter. "Pewdiepie said nigger, RT if you want to virtue signal about that!" - 11K retweets. "Come to my event and see Star Wars, Please clap!" - 20 retweets. Oh yeah, I can see you've chosen a woke crowd to associate with.

Oh fuck me. It's going to be a Destiny 2 guild isn't it. She's going to try pretending to be a politician while sitting at home playing a shitty microtransaction game, and charge the microtransations to her "campaign." This is going to be cringe incarnate.

Iirc he was in one guild full of insufferable twats that had a very strict entry policy, @Jaimas meet them in Destiny 1

Última edición:
Having a movie screening for a big budget, apolitical blockbuster is a real shit idea. Not that Brianna was going to try and connect with voters, but how in the hell are you supposed to do that in a theater setting?

This thing is already playing well with her constituents I see.

this is going well.png

Give her time, bro. I'm sure she'll find some way to make you see the upside of another 2 years of Lynch.

I beg to differ. As soon as it gets hard or John gets bored, he'll quit. When his opponents start paying attention to him or he gets distracted by a new game he'll screech for attention on twitter about how GamerGate and Trump are raping him, declare victory for women in politics, and quit. I think he'll be around for the screening, but I will be genuinely surprised if he makes to the primary. Maybe even a little impressed. The bar for John is set that low.https://kiwifarms.net/members/a_name_but_backwards.9413/
