Let's be honest--how can John lose when he has all the traits of the common politician down, like the lying, the pandering, the scumminess, and all that $$$ backing him every step of the way. He's a born politician, not a man or a woman, but a politigender.

Yeah but the good politicians make you want to vote for them in spite of their lying, etc. Wu stopped reading the 'how to be a politician' book before getting to the chapter where you actually do stuff.

As someone who has taken an economics course, this is a dumb thing to say.

First off, corporations are bodies of people authorized to act as one entity, an idea that goes all the way back to Rome.

Second, free markets have always been around in some form, as far back as the concept of organized trade. Mercantilism was largely popularized during the Age of Sail because control of markets then meant you had the global economy (as it was then known) by the balls, but the basic ideas go back as far as the first organized government that focused on growing it's own revenue by deliberately milking trade for it's own interests, which practically all governments have done and still do to some greater or lesser extent.

Third, John misses the whole point of corporations. They are meant to be autonomous bodies not chained to any one location because they are a mass of individuals who operate as one body, and that means they have far greater reach and influence than one person and aren't required to have firm roots in any one geographic location.

Finally, the basic principles of trade have remained the same for all of recorded history, and most to all of the same language used to describe trade back when people engaged salt bars for gold would be just as applicable in the days of swapping bitcoin for a stock certificate, since both involve exchanging a form of currency for a trade good, which is a universal concept applicable throughout all of history.

Kotaku: Getting to the Bottom of Tracer's Derrière

". . . There are technical reasons for Tracer's butt's plumpness. I started by enlisting the help of game designer Brianna Wu, who used her experience of 3D modelling to show me what was going on from the technical side.

. . . Wu's original expectation when importing the model had been that Blizzard had taken the texture map and darkened the shadows, using something akin to the photoshop burn tool to make it look like there was more shadow than there was. Basically, she assumed the shadow was a painted texture that wouldn't alter in any way regardless of the lighting of a level. Oh, how wrong and how innocent her thoughts were.

Wu discovered that the primary cause of Tracer's plump backside is an inhumanly deep buttcrack. In fact Tracer has a butt crack so deep that regular humans could not possess similar physiology and survive. Such a crack would inevitably interfere with organs and the body's structural integrity.

. . . I'm not going to pretend I understand the technical specifics, but Wu explained to me that the 'butt glue' effect is likely to be down to a technique called Universal Topology . . ."

Clean your fucking screen, John.

Any reason "the Godzilla of women in tech" or whatever stupid fucking thing it is this horrifying ghoul calls himself would provide Kotaku (spit) with a photo of his monitor instead of a screenshot?
