Building some sort of a base on the moon wasn't even exceptional- certainly not like throwing moon rocks at the earth as weapons. It was a legitimate option of how to begin exploring into space (that eventually lost out to just going all the way to Mars instead).

This "moon rocks as a weapon" business is about as dense as that "Trans Samus" incident.

In both cases, Wu chose an already shaky at best position, said it in such a way it sounded even more stupid than it already was in concept, then proceeded to try and argue with people who clearly saw the stupidity for what it was then tried to pretend it never happened long after the horse got out of the barn, and managed to be so foolish everyone could all sides could agree despite any other differences it was the dumbest thing they ever heard.
