I just want to point out that the overall poverty rate in America is something like 1 in 6. So what this statistic really means is that middle- and upper-class transgender people (such as John) are so insufferable that they get disowned all the freakin' time.
EDIT: and it should be pointed out that the hellfire-and-brimstone guys who would toss their kids out just for being transgender are more heavily distributed in the "already poor" category, so that makes even more non-poor TGs who just drove their parents insane.

Yeah, the similarity was rather astonishing between one being a ridiculous clown... and the other one being Weird Al.
I honestly thought this was pretty much the general conclusion a lot of us had with Frank.
Either that and/or after one (two?) failed marriages, the 50-something goony man wanted to find his perfect gamer grrrl do be his wife and he settled on Brianna because... he's a fucking 50-plus-year old patent clerk goony man.
