Wu can have a spot on the GuantanamoGuava and Make Fake Qualifications Real committees. I will not have her sullying the Furry Genocide subcommittee of the Death to 4chan committee.

She should really talk to her close, personal friend, Representative Katherine Clark about how most of the committees in the House are for real things that real politicians care about and how you don't really get to pick which ones you get as a freshman. Clark is big about girl power and how the internet totally sucks for girls, but she started out on, like, the committee for effective weed removal. Now she's on science and technology, so Massholes need to up their game and actually run a warm body against her.

John is a pig-ignorant moron as usual. The ability to issue Congressional subpoenas belongs to Congress, not to any individual idiot in Congress. Rules generally permit them to be issued by committees or subcommittees, not by just one dude.
 
Even if individual Congressmen could subpoena, I'm a fair bit certain that they have to find something actionable first or the committee gets dragged out onto the floor to explain their bullshit.

I might be being optimistic and thinking subpoena is a super warrant, but i assume there has to be something worth subpoenaing in order to subpoena!

Nah, you just need a majority of the members of a committee or subcommittee. Of course, the recipient can still take the Fifth or whatever, just as with an ordinary subpoena, or if they feel lucky and it's genuine bullshit, just tell them to go fuck themselves and ignore it, although contempt of Congress can get you imprisoned.

This is why I'm not a lawyer.

So I actually took the time and googled what a fucking Subpoena is, since I didn't know. I eventually found the version that Congress hands out (since AnOminous's comment seems to imply Congress's version is different, and it is in that it doesn't require a court's oversight), and it doesn't seem all that different from the regular version which is just an order to testify or provide evidence that the issuer is requesting. This means they can object-which means, if by some miracle, Brianna somehow gets the power to start issuing subpoenas, any competent legal team is going to look at it and tell all of Congress exactly how stupid Brianna is being.

This isn't actually the first time Wu has railed on transvestites for being "mockeries of women" or whatever, I seem to remember it in thread one, and I think it was what got him kicked out of TG boards to begin with. Obvious hypocrisy aside, I'd bet that before Flynt had the "operation", some TERF called him out on his own crossdressing, and thus by "becoming a woman", he feels he can also exercise that "privilege". Or something. That's all theory.
