SJWs can't get over [American] slavery or [historic] discrimination. They'd rather block an interstate than build a school - or attend classes there for that matter. Getting their asses handed to them by reality one more time isn't going to change that.
Actually, I think that's the biggest issue people've ever had with Social Justice - that it does nothing but destroy, degrade, and subvert. It doesn't create; it controls. It doesn't make new things; it manipulates and forbids existing ones. With a very few exceptions, Social Justice as a whole is imperial in nature, and it seems obsessed with saying what should or should not be done. There are thoughts one cannot think, words one cannot say, ideas that cannot be nuanced. The only things Social Justice seems to create are things solely designed to reinforce its agenda, and are usually pretty nakedly such.
The thing is, I still am no closer to answers on
why they do this. Some of 'em, like Wu and Lifschitz, I understand; they're Cultural Hegemonists and they want to have the supreme authority to dictate what is and is not relevant as part of their own personal Epeen flogging. Others, I'm not so sure, and their goals remain as inscrutable as the facial expressions in
Assigned Male.
At this point part of me pines for the days when we used to cover more conventional lunatics. Remember when we used to make fun of crazies that were just individually insane and not part of some giant labyrinthine network of nutjobs, each of which is crazier than the last?
Those were good days.
