Funny that, considering how he already has dropped over $100k of Frank's money on a new-at-the-time Porsche, the red one that he doesn't like to bring up because it blows a hole in his "I'm not rich, I'm just like you plebs!" story. Lest we forget, there's yet another Porsche, the silver one that he hired some mechanics to turn into a replica of a car from a comic with hot chicks in it.
Even if all this were true, $22,000 is more than most people can afford to drop on their hobby. But this isn’t his only Porsche, so we’re talking three or four times that (I forget how many Porkers he has). Then there’s all the pinball machines and consoles and other trash he collects. Even if he got all these things at a bargain price, he’s obviously spending a hell of a lot on them. This is before all his posts about “oh I can’t believe Kaiju destroyed a $7500 game controller ($7500)!”
This is the big one that John always glosses over. I too could go out and buy 4 shitmobiles if I wanted, I can afford to buy a couple $1000 used cars, and I don't consider myself rich by any stretch. But where would I put them? Most people, especially poor people, don't have the space to own 4 cars, and that's the key, never mind John's lies about how much he spent on his collection. John lives in a giant house with a lot of space for cars and pinball machines, and normal people don't.
