FWIW in the late 90s/early 00s a few of the large trading firms tried using game controllers and display configurations for high speed trading (day trading and the like)
...It was a good idea, but didn't really work out
John seems to forget about other groups that might have something to offer

like
for data analytics...how about analysts
for voter behavior...how about behaviorists

I'm all for interdisciplinary stuff...about every 25years physicis become sexy in econ for a while
but just saying "Tech" doesn't magically make shit happen - hell the "tech" is really just implementation, you still have to have something you are implementing
I really exposes that John isn't really a programmer at all - has no awareness of problem tractability/complexity - he just wants to throw resources at it and somehow through the magic of "tech" noise is erased, P is clear, and Big Oh is obviated

That means Zeta Global pocketed 85K on this deal for work a stoned intern could do in about half an hour. Not bad. Wu is really making sound financial decisions with donor money.
