Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate
I can believe that he will try to be an early adopter to try hook the most people in. He won't be giving up his follower numbers on twitter though.
edit: oh, has there even been a news article that cites Blue Skye users reactions to whatever yet? No? yawn, not journalistic enough for John W. Pundit.
John will never do it. It's the same shit with Mastadon and all the other alternatives, he's addicted to the numbers. If he simply wanted to talk about his interests there exist Porsche forums, pinball forums and photography forums. All communities dedicated to these specific interests; however they lack one thing, size and the fact people are actually knowledgeable about the subject and John can't appear as a genius by comparison. He relies on random normies on Twitter knowing next to nothing about Porsche so they can't call him out on his bullshit and he appears like the genius he wants to be.
hell, if john gets off twitter maybe I'll start tweeting. If the collective shitshow that hitched itself to John's wagon leaves, the site might be usable by people who aren't just using it as an ego pocket pussy
Hey, speaking of other things that didn't catch...when did John give up on using that Elno thing he was trying to make stick?
It's so fun watching previous (((important people))) blessed with the mark of the beast get so deflated after it's taken away from them. "This site isn't good for anything now anyway!" Seethe.
Hurr "Can someone explain to me why the Enterprise looks one way in the original series and totally different in The Next Generation?" Original flavor on the left, (numbers)-A on the right and the shows are like 15 years apart. You would know this if you watched things instead of playing pinball and tweeting, John.

What is the shit sandwich exactly? What has changed about Twitter other than the Blue shit? (And backend stuff that changes every so often without any public word, as it always has.)
Also, I noted this in other threads but John is another instance in which the person praising BlueSky says nothing about how it's better or different simply says "Twitter sucks, BlueSky will win because all us cool kids are there now" or whatever.
Wow this place totally sucks now. I'm so leaving.
Wow look at all the people leaving it's everyone important!
Damn it must suck so hard to be Elon and know everybody is leaving!
(repeat variations of the above comments until something else comes along to whine about, but never actually leave)

I haven't actually looked into BlueSky so I could be totally off base here, but is it more lefty totalitarian akin to what old Twitter was like before? I'm only making at assumption because I don't think they would leave to go to a place that's more hands off in terms of moderation in their favor.
This might also have something to do with how a few days ago someone was able to call him John Walker Flynt to his face and Twitter didnt do shit about it like he desperately wanted them to and he thinks BS (lol fuck it I'm just calling it BS from now on) will be like the Twitter of olde.
Here's my prediction of what's going to happen with splinter sites like BS. I think these people who truly try to look for a new Twitter will be like gypsies roaming the internet hoping to find a new sanctuary like old Twitter. But at most they will form several smaller disjointed enclaves with small insecular communities. But guys like John will always come crawling back to Twitter because he's there forever.

I honestly have no clue what's different about it that they're all seeing. Jack Dorsey wanted a decentralized Twitter eventually so that there'd be no central moderation ala Mastodon and that's what this started as, the intention was to replace/merge into Twitter down the road, it's been funded by Twitter the entire time.
