You know I was going to say the other day about that panel she's on coming up for...whatever...that if anyone else had such a lily white panel of dudes, she'd blow her fucking top, but I just never said it because I figured it went without saying.

"Lack of diversity" to her seems to mean "lack of Brianna Wu."
 
Rev60 will flop harder on apple TV than PC, and here is why:

1. Rev60's graphics are shitty. They will look much worse on a screen larger than 6 inches. Try playing one of your old Xbox or ps2 favorites on a 50", and you will notice what looked good in standard def on a 24" screen doesn't extrapolate well to that size and definition.
2. The fight scenes are all based on QTE's that capitalize on iOS devices touch screen. Even the proposed PC variant uses a keyboard. On an Apple TV set up input is limited to some arrow keys and buttons. Rev60 would be more or less an even worse walking simulator than before.
3. AppleTV, while growing in popularity, simply does not have numbers to support a profitable port. Nearly half of all smartphones in the US are iPhones, and Wu couldn't even break 200,000 downloads. Last I checked, there are about a 25 million appleTVs sold. Sounds like a lot, right? Compare that to 700m iPhones sold.
4. The apple fan base, and early adopters that already have an appleTV have already rejected Wu out of hand. We saw this before her little sabbatical.
5. It doesn't matter how much crotch armor you add to the models, or how many platforms you release it in, Rev60 is a failure. It takes Flynt&Co. Years to do a simple port. By the time Rev60 is on PC and appleTV, we will probably have quantum computers, and TV may well be obsolete.

Such a fucking fangirl. Let me break this down for Wu, real simple-like:

Nobody fucking cares about Apple TV.

Seriously, the only people who give two shits about it are morons and people who mindlessly buy every single Apple product (and Brianna Wu, who cleanly fits into both categories). Little bit of tech-sperging here, but if you're interested, that's what the spoiler tag is for.

First up, let's go drag something behind the shed and put an entire clip of ammo in its head: Apple has been losing market share for years. It's a simple fact. Less than eight years ago, Apple had the most popular phone on the market in the US; Android phones have long since dethroned Apple by simple virtue of doing all the same things whilst costing a fraction of the fucking price.

We're at the point where you can buy a brand new smartphone with pretty much all of the functionality of a previous-gen iPhone for about a sixth of the price. Even Microsoft and IP Carrier Phones are starting to get a foot in the door because of Apple essentially charging an arm, leg, and testicle for brand recognition. Apple routinely using proprietary tech is only making the fucking things more annoying to own, since any damage or malfunction has to be handled through Apple, whereas the Android can often be fixed on-site for a fraction of the price.

But that's just one slice of the "Nobody gives a fuck about Apple TV pie." The second giant piece comes from the fact that it's coming from a market wherein people already have a hundred other fucking choices. Smart TVs and HDTVs with Smart TV compatibility have been out for almost six years now, and if you want a TV that happens to do Android shit, then that market's already been covered (and relatively cheaply; I got a Smart TV-compatible HDTV for my PS4 this year for under $120 after rebate). The bigger problem is that there's tons of set-top devices and consoles that are going to do exactly what the fuck Apple TV is going to do, and do that shit now, for a price people have already paid. You have an Xbox 360? Congrats, you have all the functionality that Apple TV is going to have, plus the ability to play DVDs and play 360 games.

Kiwis, this is the exact same fucking reason that the Xbone had a rocky start when it launched centered on Television and streaming. Fucking Smart TVs had been out for a while and we don't fucking need a device that does something we already fucking have covered from a thousand different bases. I can run Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, and a dozen of other music and video streaming apps on my Xbox 360, Wii, PS4, 2006-era PSP, 3DS, PC, and TV set, and that's not even covering the shit that these all have that Apple TV fucking won't, like say, Bloodborne.

"Oh, but you can play games on an Apple TV, or run IOS Apps!" the tryhard Apple defenders scream. They argue that this will "kill" gaming consoles. Except, thing is, we heard that shit before. A lot. About mobile killing handhelds in fact. It didn't fucking happen, and it won't happen, because there's shit that handhelds can do that mobile fucking can't, giving them entirely different roles. Just as mobile didn't kill handhelds, there's no fucking way Apple TV is going to do a fucking thing to game consoles, especially since they've lived more-or-less harmoniously with Smart TVs for years now, which offer the same fucking things.

Even ArsTechnica, shithole that it is, realizes that the Apple TV is a failed experiment and is never going to take off.

Wu focusing so hard on the utter failure that is Apple TV is indicative of her not knowing, and indeed, caring what the fuck an audience wants. Harken, if you will, back to SOCCON, where, as John Walker Flynt, she felt the best idea ever was to openly patronize the people paying her fucking salary, or the level of rage she went into when GethN7 brought up that her game was a critical and commercial failure.

The original Metal Gear - which to this day is a gaming classic and had like a billion pre-set lines for Psycho Mantis to say regarding what he found on your memory card for every situation - only took up 32 Megs and needed a 4MB video card. Seriously, it only needed a Pentium II processor - we have school calculators with more power than a Pentium II these days.

Given xcode is needed to operate on Apple devices, Wu has just proven they don't even understand how Revolution 60 even exists on iOS devices - Unity only goes so far as to be the game development engine, it's not at all a replacement for the code managing how the program actually works like a program.
