A little off topic here, but even though Rev60 is utter shit, it at least had Megaman Battle Network's combat system, which was AWESOME. I wish more games had it...

If you want a better game that uses a similar system and kicks ass, try Peacekeeper.

The only thing going for it is it's top down perspective makes me think it could be good for something like a simple RTS or some kind of tower defense/assault.

I found the combat a bit tedious. It was initially interesting, but it swiftly got old.

Turn based stuff can work pretty well, like in the X-COM series. X-COM works because it's both tactical and cool to watch. Even without the graphics, Laser Squad style combat would be cool. In the case of Rev60 the combat felt like a mini-game that got tacked on to provide some filler between cut-scenes.

Rev60 overall reflects the work of someone who sees a game as being little more than a vehicle for artwork and a story. I actually enjoyed the cut-scene stuff until I realised that this was apparently going to be the bulk of the game.

She seemed to slow down on the Twitter updates.

1. PRIVILEGE PRIVILEGE YADA YADA YADA

2. Can't be able to hire women at your tech company due to their qualification? Well, BLAME YOURSELF, SHITLORD!

3. #ListenAndBelieve guize!

Brianna Wu dijo:
Great rule for anyone in a position of privilege: Don’t lecture the marginalized about how to achieve their own equality.

....Says the woman who will never have to work a day in her life to people whose hobby has been maligned in the mainstream press for 30 years.

What's this? Hiring women in tech? Treating them like everyone else?
To be honest 90% of this women in tech bullshit is bullshitt. But it will be a long time before women in tech will ever be treated completely normal as to their scarcity. Mostly I've seen that it means that you're actually in demand at hot places because they're actively trying to cultivate a diverse workplace, it looks hip and I think most people enjoy it. Naturally this sort of thing also encourages people to make sexist assumptions about your talent. If it can get you hired or noticed, use it, make money.

I've seen plenty of women at my own college's engineering building. Brianna's allegations of STEM fields being some kind of "boy's club" designed to keep women out are observably incorrect because people who actually WANT to learn these things are gonna go regardless. Hell, my programming teacher is a woman who was programming on punch cards before Brianna Wu was even born.

>women in tech are all in this together

Good thing it's okay to make massive generalisations about people groups now.
This is whole series of tweets is just an effort to cover her bases against all critics:
  • If you are not a woman you can't comment on women's issues (Men can not argue)
  • If you are a woman you need to support other women in tech (Women are traitors if they argue)
It makes me wonder if she might actually have an organized collection of rebuttals and other bullshit;.

Or the more she has to deal with people telling her off for being a lying liar who lies.
