I decided to glance at her actual Twitter feed. That's a mistake I will never make again.

I know that nearly all lolcows have their inexplicably white knights and asspatters, but Brianna's might be the most explicable of all (save for maybe Ahuviya's). I don't know how anyone can read her idiotic outbursts in good faith and not see how vapid and incoherent she is, regardless of where one stands on an issue. Fucking Internet madness.

And I think this is what gets me: in principle I don't think I really disagree with her on major points. I think that the vast majority of iOS/Android games are stupid, too - so I don't look for them and I don't play them. I'm not really a fan of "epic" and/or violent games either - so I don't look for them and I don't play them. I stick with Nintendo as far as console games are concerned and I play a lot of simulation or strategy games on the PC.

I will readily admit that I don't have a good idea about what goes on inside the industry itself, but from a consumer's point of view, I feel completely spoiled for choice. And with the ubiquity of things like Steam and GOG, I don't even have to limit my selection to the latest releases. Am I a gamer? Am I not a gamer?

Quinn got first, Sarkessian was a close second, Harper was a distant third and Wu came in dead last. This all took place before Wu's big blowup last month, though.

The rank and file members are generally sticking with Wu out of solidarity, though her increasing instability is driving some off to the more popular LWs. Interestingly, Katherine Cross (FemFreq's secretary) openly defended Wu and supposedly emailed Wu claiming something to the effect of "For better or worse, you're one of the leaders of anti-GG".

Personally, I think they're aware now that they made a lolcow one of their figureheads, but they realized it too late and now Wu's become malignant.

I really haven't seen one yet. The worst thing an SJW can do is be reasonable and willing to hear out the other side peacefully and politely. To SJWs there is no middle ground. Even the most extreme ones will still retain some of their hugbox. The ones that slide closer to being rational are the ones ostracized the quickest. It's how any extremist group functions.

Well, the examples above paint a different picture in the sense of "going mainstream". Anita is the most 'normal', the one that has some sort of real reputation and the one that will end affected the most if stuff gets out of control.

The thing about the four is that: They want to be successful and recognized. But the four have obvious degrees of sanity. Example: anita and Zoe reacted with disgust after the Law&Order episode make them look like victims that should not have being involved with "scummy gamers" while Wu was using it as an insane example of "THIS IS GG!". Both Zoe and Anita realized that this episode will piss a bunch of people that were not even aware of GG, including figures with actual power in the industry; Wu, incompetent in thinking about career prospects beyond PROFFESIONAL VICTIM, decide to ride the crazy train.

The SJW that we laugh about are lolcows like Wu, and this is the people that want to eliminate rational strains. Anita, Zoe and Randi are actually aware that they cannot burn every bridge (thought Randi is closer to Wu in crazyness and incompetence when is about do a real job).

After all is over or at least the storm pass away, I think the only one with some form of reputation left would be Anita. Zoe is "normal" compared with Wu or Randi... But that shit about Overdrivewhatever is a disaster waiting to happen even if Randi don't drags it down. Still, Anita has the shadow of Mcintosh waiting to say something really stupid to piss off the people not aboard the SJW mentality. Even NeoGaf cannot whitewash or ignore Mcintosh when he decides to talk directly.
