Yeah there's a pause button in the iPad version, it just takes you to the menu screen where you can't do anything except load from a previous save or view information on how to BUY HER BOOK and FOLLOW HER ON TWITTER

Well there's at least that.
I think the other passable QTE sort could be ones that have prompts you'd know by instinct. For instance if during the game you've been mashing one button to break out of a zombie grapple and in a cutscene a button prompt came up when a similar situation occured, you'd instinctively know what to press because you've been doing it the whole time. Wouldn't be a fan of them but it'd be passable.
This is the pause screen. The "save games" option doesn't work in combat and doesn't actually save your game I don't believe. I used it once to try and see what would happen if I chose a different path but it's overwritten instantly by the autosave function. The "Bonus" tab is literally what I described above. The abilities tab just lets you see the useless skills you chose during level ups that don't effect combat in any meaningful way.
On QTEs: The Wonderful 101 does them mostly right by having most of them be button mashers, only needing one button [A or B, which is to attack or jump respectively], and keeping the game controls.
What I'm saying is that it's more fun than God of War-styled QTEs.
What do you bet that Twitter has an unpaid intern tasked with "investigating" Brianna Wu's complaints, between taking out the trash and washing the coffee pots?
Does she even play games? Every tweet of hers is some variation of "look how oppressed I am and how shitty male gamers are!" I don't think I've ever seen her tweet about games she's looking forward to or even tweets about games she's enjoyed in the past which is super weird for someone who claims to be into video games. The closest thing to that was when she posted a list of her favorite video games, but that was all really well known stuff like Ocarina of Time and SMB3 that she could have got by Googling "popular video games"

Supposedly her and Frank play some co-op shit and she invites people to look at "her" (probably Frank's) Xbox profile a lot. However if you call her out on it she'll just say she's "super busy with the new game". (Read: fighting oppression on Twitter.)

I think she posted a photo on twitter showing a fuckton of games on shelves she claimed were hers. Interestingly, they were coated in dust. LOTS of dust.

There's a screenshot out there showing the games Wu owns on Steam(I don't have the link saved). I think the only game she had more than a dozen hours in was, ironically, Civilization V with the Brave New World expansion (63 hours).
