Don't you know? Literally every form of entertainment nowadays, be it video games, movies, books, or tv shows, have to be about pushing an agenda. Entertaining people and making them happy isn't enough anymore. You have to shove in as many minorities and political/social messages into your work as you can, even if it makes no sense in-context.
I mean, I definitely understand why entertainment that deal with social/political/etc issues are needed, and I think that people should make them, but at the same time it's not like everything needs to be super srs and about revolutionizing society. And a lot of the people who think that everything does need to have those things usually don't give a shit about the logistics or context of a work and how fitting a message into it would pan out; they only care about filling a quota and shoving in as many things as they can even if they're not meaningful and don't make sense.
To that end, I give you the SCWAMP Theory:
To identity the biases inherent in any kind or form of media, one must simply derive the "obvious" signs of the six most common percived attributes that are lauded as better than anything else. The closer somebody is to being Straight, Christian, White, Able-Bodied, Male, and Property holding, the more they will be shown as being inherently better for all attributes they match than those who do not match those same attributes. The presence of these things is infailiable proof of the discriminatory nature in the media subject in question. A tool developed by a SJW, for SJWs.
It should be noted that even the
creator of this "theory" tried to apply this to the Twilight Saga as a demonstration of how it works and naturally only proved SCWAMP will always prove everything is discriminatory
when the decisive factor is always personal interpretation only as the only way the romance series fits all the catagories requires Edward the Vampire to be both simultaneously in possession of his (damned) soul
and to be a literal soulless, godless monster. It's merely something given a coined name and serves as an excuse for SJW's to be able to craft a narrative to suit their needs. Ironic, then, given the results if applied to Wu:
- Straight: Technically, yes, because she married a man after changing genders.
- Christian: No idea, but she's the head of what seems to be an ongoing inquisition...
- White: Yep.
- Able Bodied: No physical handicaps known, beyond what I guess was genetallia reassignment surgery?
- Male: Was born male and continuously points out how much better men have it then women in blunt ways
- Property holding: Wu's parents are
loaded apparently and she herself is making thousands of dollars in
donations even though she's still 4 months behind the projected deadline for porting Revolution Shit to the PC.
So, based on the SCWAMP Theory, a product by SJW's for SJW's, it's safe to say Wu is pretty
biased as fuck in favor of the very things SJW's are supposedly against supporting.
