Anyone that's even a little bit tech-savy couldn't survive using the 12-inch Macbook, while the screen is actually pretty good and the keyboard isn't as bad as everyone says, having only ONE port to connect stuff to it must be a living nightmare, if Wu wasn't such a Mac fanboy he would be shitting on that laptop like almost any sane person, the only thing that laptop can do decently is browse the internet and write pretentious novels, and even then it's just a very expensive paperweight.

Wu has a really bizarre trait for someone whose entire backstory is fabricated, she really seems reticent to outright lie. She loves to jump down the throats of idiot trolls on twitter who get the story wrong, because it lets her imply that she's entirely self-made and don't need no help from a man, but she'll never correct the tale to mention her failed animation company where she actually did get the 200K or deny outright that her parents ever game her the money at all.
She also does it with her lie about how she got a NES with Mario 2 and she loved to play as Peach because it was so rare to see herself reflected in a game. She'll always leave the "When I was a little girl..." to stand as implicit. I guess she thinks if the lie is in the white space around her tale, it's not technically a lie.

Wouldn't surprise me, I don't really follow Sarkeesian. But it's definitely a staple story of Wu's fabricated life experiences. Here's an example rendition, though I've heard it several times from her:

I think the reason Wu won't comment on certain things while lying wildly about others is because she intends to use those untouched things as her ace in the hole. She's keeping them handy in case her profits/notoriety ever suffers a significant loss, so she can save herself from falling into complete obscurity. When the day comes that her whole "brave feminist gamer girl" persona finally begins to lose it's edge and people begin leaving her, she'll finally officially come out as trans and give her tragic life story of opression and she'll stay afloat for a bit longer. She knows that being an actual tranny merits a lot of asspatters in the SJW community and she's just keeping that information secret until she feels she should use it.
