Ah, the secret of Wu's Huffington Post posting spree of the last few days is revealed. They used her as a rent-a-quote in one of their articles. I should have known her sudden seeming interest in the news outside of gaming was somehow related to her narcissism.

It's an incredibly dumb article too. I know how to ride a horse, but I wouldn't call myself a jockey. Being a gamer implies some level involvement in gaming beyond simply whiling away half an hour on the bus playing a game, or procrastinating on the computer at work by playing freecell. Playing games is a common human activity, being a gamer is a hobby with similar communities, publications and background knowledge of any other hobby.

So I'm (and probably everyone else) thinking she forgot what twitter account she used to report a bunch of people so she was checking her personal email instead of the one tied to her giantspacekat twitter account. Kind of lends credence to the theory that even after Wu blocks someone on her personal account she still watches the comments using a secondary account so she can see what blocked people are saying and report them. If that's true then that's a whole new flavor of stupid and fucked up.

Also, I think the "personal information" she reports is people calling her John Flynt. It makes sense since those tweets tend to get reported/acted on pretty quickly and we haven't seen anything on Wu's twitter suggesting people are posting any other kind of personal info that would require her reporting it that much. Not sure if that's what happening but it makes sense.

Not only that, but a number of women won seats in local elections. Exactly. I was going through the grocery store one time and this super tall masculine guy showed up in a tattered miniskirt and enough make-up to be a part time clown. After the first glance everyone looked away and fumbled around as if they were trying to act like they weren't phased. If they had Frank waddling next to them I imagine the cashier would have tried to deal with him first.
