Another thing I'd like to point out... The rankings on that game appear to be on a per server basis. I installed the game and I was immediately ranked somewhere in the 14,000 range. Playing 5 arena battles moved me to #6852. I scrolled through the top 1000 people on the leaderboard, and Wu isn't anywhere on it. So this "I'm ranked #X IN THE WORLD" is a little retarded.


On a side note, it's actually a pretty fun game. They basically took FFVII combat and slapped a Star Wars skin on it. Not fun enough to actually pay any money for, but I'll probably play around with it some more... Maybe I can get high enough to piss off Wu

Okay, so Brianna/John is about forty years old, and considering her unhealthy lifestyle we can safely bet that she will die sooner than the average person. The life expectancy of someone living in America is about 79 years, but I'll be generous and only knock off about six years from that number. So that leaves mankind with about 33 years in which to go extinct.

Barring some kind of world-shattering catastrophe, that's a fucking tiny window for a species of 7 billion and counting to disappear completely from the Earth. Granted, the Holocene mass extinction event started about 10,000 years ago and is still ongoing, but it's caused by humans, so that's not an immediate threat to our species.

Humans are resilient creatures who have found ways to inhabit pretty much every environment on Earth. It'd take an event like The Great Dying to threaten us with total extinction, but there's no way in hell that 33 years is enough time to wipe out every single human on the planet.
