400k from frank was GSK and almost 200k was from her parents to start an animation studio that was not GSK
What these tweets are intended to do is cast doubt on the claims of her detractors by being deliberately easy to prove as false while still coming close to the claims her detractors make. I don't know if strawman is the right word but it's close.

Oh look my parents didn't give me the money I didn't grow up as a privileged white man... see I was couch surfing for a year and we spent "our savings" of 400k to launch GSK... they have nofucking clue what they're talking bout.

In reality she squandered the money because she was spoiled and her parents disowned her resulting in her subsequent homelessness when she was unable to cope with life without financial support from her parents for the first time.

According to Jaimas it was Wu's parents that ultimately shut down the animation studio they funded, probably once they realized it was going nowhere. Wu never says why exactly they stopped talking, except for some vague hints about not agreeing with their political views. Most likely Wu got pissy once they refused to fund her dreams and wouldn't pay for SRS, also the ambien addiction was sometime around this.

This is one of those "truths but also a lie" things. Yes, I imagine all their income goes to paying GSX employees... because only her and Frank are left at GSX. Natalie O'Brien doesn't exist.

The previous claim of Wu being homeless ten years ago needs evidence considering Wu has a very flexible definition of homeless "I had a home. I just only went there during the day, I swear!" For all we know Wu walked away from her parents with some degree of financial security and just spent a few months in hotels until they found a place they wanted.
