These guys are fucking unreal - at least, they would be if I wasn't fatally overexposed to identity politics bullshit. Samantha's opinion is magically worth less upon the "revelation" that he is a DAMN MALE - in fact, not only do his opinions suddenly have no value, but they are a shameful exploitation of the community of morally unassailable TRUE and HONEST women, tsk tsk!

"The aesthetics of R60 are dripping with science."

LOL, no. Fighter planes with holes in their wings. Spacecraft that have a layout like airplanes, with the floor parallel to the acceleration vector (of this nearly all scifi is guilty BTW). A motorcycle which does propel itself by emitting "positive and negative gravitons" but nonetheless has wheels (unmoving ones though) and makes combustion engine and tyre-screeching sounds.

"In terms of psychology, people respond subliminally to different shapes. Squares and rectangles are safe (evoking livingrooms or cribs); triangles and wedges are scary (stilettos, snake heads, Panzers). Rev60 is not a comedy oferrors about a party in a park;it's a death struggle with millions of lives in the balance. There are few safe shapes."

This is psychology, Frankie-Boy, not physics and engineering. The latter two come in handy when you're building spaceships and vehicles, the former will at best be of secondary importance when designing the controls. You know what would happen when one of your oh-so-scary insect-inspired Fifth Column spaceships attempts reentry? THIS.
There is a reason all reentry-capable spacecraft are either robust round capsules or sleek and aerodynamic. No fucking "feelers" or "pincers" or anything that would be torn off and evaporate upon touching the upper atmosphere at ca. 8 km/s.

That said, this Xiezhi-thing could be meant for orbit-orbit transfer only (which actually makes sense from a celestial mechanics and rocketry viewpoint). But if so, WHY ARE THE FUCKING ENGINES OPEN AT THE FRONT LIKE JET ENGINES??? Yeah yeah yeah, this is about as common in scifi designs as dinosaurs in comics about cavemen, but hey, the X-Wings from Star Wars at least fly into the atmosphere, so having some kind of air-breathing engines as an auxilliary system makes sense. But like I said, the second that Xiezhi touches the atmosphere, its "feelers" and "pincers" turn into ionized gas and the rest of the ship touches down as a molten lump of slag.

Oh, I forgot -- by "dripping with science" you meant: Dripping with psychology. But let me remind you: This is Freud. This is C. G. Jung. This is von Braun. This is Korolev. Very different people, very different areas of expertise.

As for Holiday's vroom vroom, let's ignore for a second that the unmoving wheels look retarded (for the physicist as well as for the psychologist and everyone else) -- "These are studded with positive and negative graviton emitters". The graviton is (predicted to be) chargeless like the photon, and has zero rest mass. There probably aren't any "positive" and "negative" gravitons, though "negative matter" can be hypothetically postulated. Like the photon, which carries the electromagnetic force but has no charge of its own, the graviton carries the gravitational force but has no "gravity charge" (mass) of its own. This is different with gluons BTW which carry the strong nuclear force but also have a "color charge" (this is what the property of quarks that responds to nuclear force is called) of their own, thus they can influence each other, something which photons (outside of very special nonlinear media) cannot do -- two lasers cross without deflecting each other.

"My sincerest hope is that some of the people who play our game will peek behind the scenes."

Let's hope they don't. Know what R60 is even worse at than at delivering a message of feminism? At delivering a science lesson!
Nice mansplaining. Didn't you know science is oppressive and male dominated?

You tell her, John. How dare a man pretend to be a woman.

It's been commented before that the SJW crowd is perfect for con artists. Anywhere you can find someone who will believe anything without questioning it, you can find a sucker with more money than brains.
In this case, I guess they shouldn't have listened or believed, huh?

I'm pretty sure that fallout is one big map and is not procedurally generated though I wouldn't be surprised if they used it to save time making the maps as they're huge.

How does this have an incalculable cost? Cost of what? To who?
Someone who knows about games dev please confirm my suspicion that she's just throwing words around? I'm not able to find anywhere that anything in fallout 4 was procedurally generated.
Kkrieger_screenshot.jpg

Still better than r60 and made by a bunch of people for free in their spare time.
Frankly I expect more sophisticated storytelling than fish-faces procedurally mouthing Dungeon's and Dragon's nonsense.
Ok she has no fucking clue what she's talking about. But please I'd really like someone who does to try and explain her comments.

Edit: April might be a troll account.

I think Rory might not be genuine either but it's so hard to tell cause SJWs be poe as hell.

"Lol at the cis white boys the play D&D, what losers! Women power!"

She's also saying the Fallout characters don't emote and only their mouths move in lip flaps while the plot is generic fantasy. None of which is actually true.

Saying they're procedurally generated or procedural makes her look stupid in front of other game developers. She just wanted to throw some big words around she must have heard somewhere, enough to embarass herself in front of all the tech friends she made paying to attend all those conferences. Enough to ensure that any tech funding doesn't come her way if some tech sjw had been considering wasting money on her.

Embarrassing herself in front of tech people to look cool to ignorant and irrelevant people on twitter. By this point all the SJWs and media people are tired of her for a variety of reasons the only thing that would save her ironically would be the tech industry's tolerance for different lifestyles and odd personalities.

If nobody says it is, it isn't. That's one of the more notable aspects of a game's design, and would be noted in any competent review.

Also this. How the fuck does someone get to adulthood and be a so-called professional and still think you pluralize words with a fucking apostrophe? God I hate that shit.

Idle thought: are the SJW's just not trying to chimp out and shame Wu into irrelevancy because they used to support them, which thereby betraying their former comrade makes THEM look even shitter?

SJWs are a messed up subculture. Until someone defies the narrative, you stick by them, no matter what, unless they fuck up so massively you have no choice but to cut them loose (and even then, they haven't tossed Arthur Chu or Nicholas Nyberg because those two work their asses off being shameless lickspittles). With that in mind, until Wu's heresy level hits a certain point some mindless assholes will always white knight the crazy tranny.

Thanks for that glowing review, John. Think your followers might want to know that the original author and series writer (Daniel Abraham) is an old friend of your husband? And a chum of yours?

Nah. That would be ethical.

What did you say earlier about "all cheerleading and no standards"?
