Change her stretch-goals to claim she managed to keep Natalie for less.... Somehow.
I would love to see Wu explain why a mother of two would stay on with a company that is paying her less than $32,000 a year with no benefits. That would be fucking comedy gold!

So, are your sources indirectly confirming that Natalie is fictional?

Well, I mean... she's technically right that her game doesn't have a good ending. Calling your own work emotionally horrifying and saying that it will make you feel intense emotion and loss, however, is just ridiculous. At least use a sockpuppet claiming to be an actual reviewer before spewing that BS.

I'm pretty sure one of the biggest complaints in modern games is "handholding". People absolutely hate it when the game literally tries complete itself for you because it destroys the actual merit of beating a level you're struggling with by working and building your skill. Why even bother putting effort into a game if it just goes on regardless of your work? And yet here Wu is, bragging about how there's no real way to lose her game and trying to pass it off as this great revolutionary thing. I swear It's like Wu has gone out of her way to do everything wrong with her game thinking that she's making some bold new innovation with each new fuckup. Her game is so bland and poorly made, if I didn't know any better I'd probably assume that R60 was supposed to be a low budget joke game that was supposed to parody all the things that people complain about in games today. But no, this actually had a team behind it, ridiculous amounts of money, and she was being completely serious the whole fucking time.

5% of their earnings.

Bingo. Patron doesn't give a fuck who donates to what or how as long as they get to claim their share.

The odd thing is so many of the professional victims donate to each other that I think it actually inflates the size of the apparent amount of money donated but each one actually gets a smaller slice. Of the money Johny gets donated to him, excludinghis sock puppet accounts, he sends a fair chunk of it to others on Patron like Saint Sarskiean and Rand-whale plus many others in the "field" of victim services. Who also do likewise, while Patron makes a killing taking 5% with each swap.

It makes me wonder how much that inflates the total "visible" dollars of the money pool. Say if Johny-boy gets $2500 but has to send $250 to each of the other "big name" victims how much does he actually get to bank at the end of the month

Sadly all of the professional victims have their donors hidden now and I can't be assed to donate a buck to them each just so I can sate my curiosity. But it's my guess there is a lot less money floating around then it appears.

It's masturbation. Revolution 60 is Wu masturbating.

Why is failing in a game bad? If I "fail" a level, then I feel that much more enjoyment when I succeed in beating it.

But this is all irrelevant until she shows some sign that this version of the game even exists.

There's no ending? More like there's no ending, because there's no game.

Also how can one fail on something that doesn't even exist?

Also, Wu was basically describing the plot progression of visual novel that gives no cues what path you've worked yourself towards until the ending, which is totally out of your hands when you get there.

That sounds LESS fun than Mass Effect, where I knew certain events would have tangible consequences and so I knew I'd lock myself into a certain path if I went down certain routes, gave me a reason to actively work towards certain endings if I didn't like the alternatives.

Also, I'm pretty sure anyone could figure out what leads to what after a few playthrougths and write an FAQ how to get certain endings anyway, so Wu is basically doing nothing revolutionary storytelling wise.

Then she must have stripped that out because when I played Revolution 60, you couldn't fail anything, especially QTE because 99% of the time they only had a single outcome.

I drunkenly spent like 5 minutes trying to draw a circle that lagged behind the touch input by a half second so I could climb a ladder and escape mortal peril, and every time I fucked up Holiday just grunted and started the process over again. About the only things you could fail were QTE in battles and the occasional random bits that didn't effect the set piece outcome in any way.

I'd much prefer it if I could fail the first QTE during the Pointless Laser Battle and have the game simply end.

A "game" in which you can't fail and that mostly consists out of quick time events is called "Visual Novel", in my opinion.

Prediction of the game experience for Rev60-Steam:

Either:
- Start Game.
- Finish the game and get one of two (or three) endings, depending on how quickly/good you managed the QTEs.
- Try to play it a second time, in order to get an alternate ending.
- Realize that there is no branching story path, and you have to re-watch all the same shitty cutscenes up to the end again.
- Demand refund.

Or:
- Start Game.
- Close Game.
- Demand refund.

In the first spoiler is an excellent example of how John "The Inept Salty Coward" Flynt behaves on Twitter, behavior he desperately tries to hide from his followers. He burned his @ replies to ricky_bright almost immediately.
inept salty coward.png

So, what one sees here is someone questioning the logic of John's statement -- a statement which is an illogical, baseless, inflammatory, bigoted non sequitur response to Kate Heddleston's piece, a piece which John neither read nor could understand if he did.

Instead of defending his assertion like an informed adult, John rather resorted to a personal attack against ricky_bright. When Ricky then suggested that maybe John doesn't come across well in interviews, which is self-evidently true from what we've seen of John's TV interviews and "resume", John of course had a major tantrum, made ridiculous references to "privilege 101" and told him to "Google it".

John ended it with another insult, this time with profanity, then immediately deleted what he just posted.

Grade A Twitter coward, crybaby, and incapable debater that he is, John then went on to subtweet about this burned exchange, an exchange in which he couldn't hold his own and immediately melted down.

John has probably tried to have Ricky banned for "harassment" and failed. Check out him burning John a few days ago.
