I kind of want Geth to press charges - put more economic stain on the bastard for perfectly legal reasons!

Geth cited why he hasn't in the KIA thread, where several urged him to do just that:

https://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAc...amacowards_at_ghazi_banned_me_for_proving_my/

Let me present a little logic for why I haven't yet:

I don't have the money, time, or care enough to want to burn Wu at the stake over a few shitty out of context remarks used to libel me. Yes, it's shitty and Wu's a jackass for stooping to that level, but if I ever attempted to seriously pursue this, Wu has fairly deep pockets, would likely get the SJWs to whore more money to bury me in legal shit, and frankly, I'm small time and would probably have to spend so much (or Mike Cernovich would, should he decided to back me) the most I'd get out of it would be a moral victory.

Assuming Wu did something really stupid like rip off tons of money from someone, that would be a much better case to deal legal damage, and would be harder to Wu to fend off in a legal sense. Doubly so if it was someone like the IRS. I spent no money on Wu's game, one case of potential fraud, which means I really have no legal dog in that fight if it does turn out to be a genuine scam.

Also, Wu was smart enough to avoid direct references to my name in the cases mentioned, so Wu can potentially weasel out of having to pay for it, as even though we both know who Wu was talking about, it wouldn't exactly be arguable as smoking gun proof in a court of law and if Wu had even a halfway competent lawyer, he/she'd play that card for all it was worth.

In short, I'm not jumping at the idea of doing a lawsuit since even though I have a lot of evidence in my favor, Wu was just bright enough not to say "GethN7" once, otherwise I'd happily march down to a courthouse.

A short while ago Wu's patreon was dangerously close to going below the 2500 mark (which is the one where if met she says she can continue to employ Natalie). That was probably because Patreon changed it so it shows what people get after Patreon gets their cut. This is what Wu's patreon looks like now.

Ver archivo adjunto 59177

It jumped back up pretty quickly which is pretty suspicious since there are only a few people who actually follow the amount Wu earns on patreon: Wu herself and people who dislike Wu. Considering Wu is all about trying to create the appearance of success rather than actually earn it I don't think it's crazy to consider that Wu is either donating to herself or prodding people in her social circle to donate more. Before Patreon made the change Wu's patreon was making a slow but steady decline and now within a short amount of time it's bumped up 300 bucks.

Anyone have any insight into this? I'm not an expert on patreon.

How does anyone justify donating money to Wu to do jack fucking shit?

Wu literally does absolutely nothing of any worth.

Funny you should ask: For the most part, people didn't.

What do I mean by this? Well, it's like this. Thanks to a combination of both /baph/, /cow/, and Gamergate's internet autism machine, we know for a fact that the Antis are donating to one another under pseudonyms to artificially inflate one another's Patreons. This costs them a bit of cash, but makes their Patreons out to be much more successful than they otherwise are. What does this tell us about Wu's Patreon, though?

https://kiwifarms.net/attachments/image-png.58861/

Wu, just a week ago, had 9 less patrons, and about $250/month less. Historically, Wu's Patrons all back the same people - they're either Antis or they're Socks. Take a small sampling and you'll see that they invariably back the same people, so the Antis are pretty obvious.

So how do we explain this increase in funding? And what's different now? Well, now, almost all of Wu's big donors are newcomers. There are a few Antis in here - Chris Tracy backed so hard that they're Wu's biggest patron - but the rest...? Well, look at who they back and tell me what you see: People solely backing Wu with no contact or user info. And she's backed only Wu and one other person. So right when Wu's been bleeding support for weeks, she suddenly pops out 10 more supporters and nearly $300/month more with it.

That's some hot shit there.

Thing is, this isn't a first. Several here have pointed this out in the past, but Wu's been saved from dipping below certain amounts via her benefactors suddenly increase their Patreon contributions and suddenly, surprise surprise, Wu's pulled out of the red. Between the acknowledgement that most of the Antis are inflating their Patreons through donations, Wu having pulled this shit repeatedly, and Wu having multitudes of high-level supporters that back her alone, I think the implication is quite clear.

Any legal kiwis want to weigh in here?

https://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAc...zi_banned_me_for_proving_my/cx5hrgf?context=3

Short version, some idiot downvotes the post why Geth is declining to press charges and claims Geth is an evil asshole who should have shut up as soon as Wu told him to go away, not even bothering to acknowledge Wu's wishes and promise to cease further contact, just shut up immediately.

Geth responds he acknowledged Wu's wishes and left a public record of everything so, assuming he does contact Wu past his acknowledgement Wu does not wish to be contacted again, then Wu would have something in the public domain to prove Geth really is a harasser.

Also, I looked up the definition of harassment, it only applies if the contact is sustained, meant to deliberately incite or intimidate, and the messages are clearly inflammatory, and Geth's messages don't appear to meet that standard.

The guy who accused Geth of this also doesn't seem to think libel is an actual crime.

Outside of a few outdated statutes, criminal libel barely exists in the U.S. or any half-civilized jurisdiction. It's unlikely the remaining statutes, most of them unused for decades, would withstand a challenge.

It's certainly a tort, though.

Ok, but is Geth in the wrong for leaving Wu an acknowledgement he would honor Wu's wishes to be left alone after Wu told him to stop?

Checked, this sped seems to be claiming Geth was wrong to even bother.

How and why would they do that? Don't they get a cut of any money that goes through them no matter where it's from?
Yeah but someone has probably hinted exactly what they can expect to get at any level of donation they could have just bought a prepaid credit card and jacked up their stats until next billing cycle. Not that they did but I see no reason that they couldn't.

Geth's efforts at civility and decency are completely wasted on a shitbag like Wu.
He is obviously a retardedly civil advanced kiwi from the future
He simply tries to be more than fair and admits when he's wrong. He doesn't even argue that hard he just acknowledges if someone is hard to argue against and moves on but there is so much bullshit he's always got someone to be hilariously polite and chill to.
I really wonder who geth is irl <3 geth

baconshakes and 9 inch towers of oreo cream are totes cool.
That's pretty awesome. I don't know what kind of points the wu's earn for it but they do seem to have lots of fun together.

Is there an especially dangerous level that Wu's patreon could drop to? I mean, let's say, by some happenstance, it drops to under $1000. What then?
Dunno, I guess the money count in her Patreon can be interpreted as 'relevancy indicator'. The more money you get, the more "true supporters" you seem to have, the more relevant you are to... well something. Which is pretty much the reason why all these SJWs inflate their Patreons artificially, to seem more important an perhaps to attact other SJWs to donate even more (which doesn't make a lot of sense if you think about it).

No idea. Nobody knows what kind of financial situation they're in. Some say that Frank and Brianna are just scraping by because Brianna blows the money on tons of Apple shit and plane rides to speaking events that pay little or not at all. Some say that despite the huge hit making Revolution 60 was to Frank his job keeps them afloat. Wu has evaded the question regarding where the 400k to make Rev 60 came from. Rumors are that Wu burned through Frank's savings and he even borrowed from family to keep the project going. I don't know if there's anything concrete to support that but considering Wu's evasiveness I think it's likely. Not because she's embarrassed for taking someone else's money but because bleeding her husband and his family members for cash to support her business wouldn't mesh well with the image she's trying to obtain.

I just watched Wu's patreon recently because I wanted to see what she'd do when she no longer hit the stated requirement to keep "Natalie" on board. I was hoping Wu would make some kind of stupid statement like "Well, even though it'll hurt us financially we're going to keep Natalie on because I'M an employer who values her employees". The more Wu keeps up with the lie of Natalie the more fucked she'll be when it's proven that Natalie doesn't exist.

On the topic of Patreon: back when we had people looking through the leaked database, did we find out if Wu donates to anyone? Wondering how much of that money is just being passed back and forth between panhandlers to inflate their stats.

I think the last time Natalie's name has been on anything GSK related was the Kickstarter update from August. Brianna vaguely tweets about employees but never gives names or anything.
Since Wu apparently tweets each and every thought, that crosses her the space between her ears, it is a rather interesting fact that she doesn't tweet anything from inside her 'Game Studio'. It's like it only exists on paper these days...

It certainly feels that way. She's fired anyone who could get the game completed on time so the only time she can honestly tweet about what's going on inside GiantSpaceKat is when she personally does something, i.e. hardly ever.

According to my anon sources, the Wu family is doing all right - they aren't extravagantly wealthy, but they have enough to live extremely well and enough invested to survive most emergencies. They certainly wouldn't have flushed nearly 400K down the shitter if they didn't have cash in reserve. Brianna could lounge on the sofa eating fried oreos for the rest of her life and the Wu household would be in no real danger.

So why the Patreon at all, then? The answer, from my sources, is simple: It's Brianna Wu's Tugboat. :tugboat:

The Patreon takes the pressure off of Wu to do anything. She can buy her shitty iFurby or whatever that she claims is the wave of the future whilst not dipping into the family finances any. As long as she doesn't trend below $2500/month, Wu can and will claim that Natalie is real - it's literally her justification for being a Twitter warrior. After all, it's not Brianna, it's Natalie running all her social media fronts!

Even as Wu responds in person, of course.

Wu will do anything to keep the Patreon from dipping too low. It's literally her fucking around fund, exempt from oversight and accountability. Unlike her Kickstarter campaigns and IndieGogo campaigns, Wu won't be expected to actually do anything for her money and won't face any repercussions if she flat-out reneges on the deal or lies outright about it (as Antis are want to do). If it were to say, go below the $1000 threshold (it won't; Wu will funnel money into it indirectly if the situation gets too dire), Wu would have to "retire" Natalie (like she fucking uses her anyway), and she'd actually have to try to do something to not be a complete leech.

Whilst Wu is as lazy as Jay Geis, she has a drive for personal aggrandizement that means she can actually get shit done, unlike the Aluminum Autist. She demands to be recognized, to be adored. As such, expect Wu to start going into full melt-down mode if the Patreon funding every looks like she's in real danger. By my estimates, if at any point the trends low enough to not only shoot down Natalie as a myth, but to shoot down Wu's claims of success - under $2000/month - expect her to, in order:

  1. Change her stretch-goals to claim she managed to keep Natalie for less.... Somehow.
  2. Blame Gamergate.
  3. Enter a decaying orbit as her natural drive to fight the meme that she isn't a dismal failure pushes her deeper and deeper into crazytown.
  4. Likely take at least one major Anti down with her for failing to help her in her time of need.
The Farms will drink well that night.

About a month ago she tweeted that she was about to drive home from Giant Spacekat Studio. Eight minutes later she was tweeting about a conversation she was just having with Frank at home. Either she's lying or she really does have a trannycopter.

I don't think so....
But a house that big must be a bitch to clean. She must live in Wayne Manor or something, where it takes eight minutes to get from the living room - where she has set her workstation up - to wherever Frank was. Any of you guys seen another photo that could show the offices of GSX? No? Me neither. GSX is her crummy desk, in dire need of varnish.
