I really, really want to believe that Brianna is showing genuine empathy here, I truly do. But with her track record, I'm dreading the inevitable tweet where she tries to make it about her.

That's all Wu has to give. Her entire career consists of her blowing steam out her ass. The people who put a dollar in the donation bin at their local grocery store are better activists than Wu because they've actually done something.
There's no evidence to suggest that Wu actually gives a damn about the attacks, or about any victims besides herself. Considering her nature I'm betting that she's just doling out the cliche condolences in order to maintain her persona.

Because Brianna is not THAT much of an idiot. She knows that making it about her within the first twenty-four hours or so will only backfire horribly. Once she thinks the coast is clear we'll start seeing a deluge of soon-to-be-burned tweets concerning her personal vendetta being inserted into this tragedy.
And holy fuck those Tweets are delicious.
Honestly, if humanity as a whole was as terrible as Brianna makes it out to be here then we would have driven our species to extinction thousands of years ago. Humanity has not only survived: it's thrived. We're living in the most enlightened, accepting, and peaceful time in human history because our species is incredibly empathetic. Murder rates are the lowest they've ever been. People are living well into their 90s. Women are being treated like people and not like property. We've given genocide a name and branded it as one of the most atrocious acts humans can inflict on each other.
All of these things became reality only because humans have an inherent drive to help each other, but not everyone can see this fact. People like Brianna are blind to it because of their ego and selfishness. Of course Brianna thinks that humanity is terrible, because she is terrible. When you continuously shit on other people it eventually comes back to bite you in the ass. Brianna simply cannot wrap her head around this fact, and her narcissistic denial dictates that she blame everyone else for her failures.
These Tweets are really telling to the casual observer. And it's hilarious that a self-proclaimed activist attempting to fight for people's rights would make such a statement. What's the point of fighting, Brianna, if humanity sucks?

Off-topic, but thank you so much for this. Obviously the Paris attack is a huge tragedy but seriously, turn back the clock a few hundred years and you find that there's nothing stopping from a few guys on horseback rolling onto your farm and killing your family for sport.
On-topic: Think about John's tweets a little bit more and realise that he is making the attacks all about him anyway by making these glib tweets to appear "compassionate". What a person could conceivably do is follow the news and not tweet about it at all. John and not tweeting, however, do not go together.

I agree completely that it's always nice to just shoot straight, but she seems upset when people call her an irritating cunt.
She's written herself into a bit of a corner here. She can't stand people being direct with her, and she can't stand people like GethN7 who are painfully courteous.
