April, 2014: Brianna Wu
appears on a PAX East Panel on Sexism, alongside allies of hers, which is the only way she could get the gig.
June, 2014: Brianna Wu engages in attempts to false-flag herself on 4chan in an attempt to provoke chantards to attack her game,
Revolution 60, and use this to bolster popularity in the market. It's unclear why she and Frank Wu thought this would work, beyond the age-old "no such thing as bad publicity" approach.
July, 2014: Brianna Wu
repeatedly is covered by sympathetic media to promote her game, violating journalistic ethics more than a few times. Is covered out of pity by several friends more influential and powerful than she is, such as Leigh Alexander and Ben Kuchera, all whilst pushing her women in tech narrative.
Brianna Wu is still a nobody at this point, as evidenced by the wayback machine. Her cozy relationship with these fools means
she's able to write long columns stating non-facts like Video Games are inherently sexist. She goes on to
attack Adam Baldwin when Gamergate is initially starting to break, accusing him of sending a "mob" of 200K people at her, in a chilling projection of
what she would later do to TotalBiscuit.
August, 2014: Gamergate essentially happens. Brianna Wu, already waist-deep in breaches of ethics, immediately sides with her long-time allies, and, by virtue of being loud, obnoxious, and an opportunist, becomes the self-proclaimed voice of Anti-GG.
Her Twitter presence explodes overnight.
September, 2014: Brianna Wu
becomes a mainstay against Gamergate by being
a sensationalizing bitchass. She
actively attempts to provoke and belittle supporters, at which point she claims they are harassing her. She alternates between claiming that Gamergate is nothing but a few dozen misogynerds and them having more money and manpower than the fucking USPS.
She
goes on to treat minority and female dissenters like sockpuppets. With no self awareness, she then
proceeds to create a sockpuppet account to further antagonize Gamergate supporters.
Fittingly, She doesn't abandon her original attempts to gain her game publicity, moving on from blaming 4chan for her initial false-flags to blaming Gamergate.
Derek Smart delivers his first initial warnings to Wu, and points out she's going on a dangerous path. He is accused of mansplaining.
October, 2014: A busy month for Wu, in which she shows that she is neither the hero the Anti-GGers want nor need.
She becomes the head of GamerGhazi, an Anti-GG Reddit Community that practically lionizes Anita Sarkeesian, and she does so solely by being the only Senpai to notice Ghazi. Immediately upon gaining control over it, she appoints her allied stooge, Mattie Myers, to be in charge and run it
like she did Susan's Place (I.E. to the detriment of all not named Brianna Wu). Wu gains speaking engagements constantly; her star is on the rise and everything's coming up Wu!
...And then the fuckstorm begins.
Her earlier attempts to blame
Revolution 60's failure on attacks by Gamergate fail when
Operation FalseFag II is revealed to have come from none other than Frank Wu, and people begin to investigate further. Brianna Wu's attempt to launch an Anti-GG is immediately co-opted and mocked because
Wu is unfunny and clearly didn't research the source of her image.
Fortune smiles upon Wu when someone dares to make a death threat against Brianna Wu, marking her, fittingly, as the first time that any Anti has received an actual, in-depth death-threat. Latching onto this for all it's worth,
Brianna Wu pretends it's still legit even after Something Awful publicly claims responsibility for it.
Brianna Wu claims to have been driven from her home by this threat, and that the police are looking into it, despite the fact that she never actually leaves her home, conducts multiple interviews from it, and is eventually called out for publicizing her own harassment when
she appears on the David Pakman show, where she comes across as an unhinged lunatic. This is mere days after
getting her skeletal ass handed to her by a parapelegic little person with surprising moxie.
The failtrain has no brakes, and
Frank Wu tries to false-flag attacks on Brianna to substantiate the narrative, but he's caught by 8chan operatives and mocked, a-la

. Brianna Wu blames DICE (an upper-crust Tech firm) of being sexist, but ultimately
throws blame at the unrelated DICE Europe LTD, a group of fresh produce importers, who immediately winds up backing Gamergate via the #Gamerfruit tag.
Wu
later gets threats from third-party trolls that ultimately go nowhere, and are proven hoaxes even as she says she'll
report them to the cops.
Brianna Wu gets
another series of messages from Derek Smart, who desperately warns her about what she's doing - she's rapidly depleting her own credibility at an alarming rate and is gradually wearing down the most steadfast of supporters, who are starting to see that she's a charlatan. Smart correctly warns her about what will happen if she doesn't stop being a sensationalizing fool. For his efforts, he is again accused of mansplaining. His warnings would ultimately prove prophetic.
November, 2014: Smart cuts off conversation when Wu acts like a dick.
Brianna Wu milks a national tragedy and makes it all about her.
Kiwi Farms coverage of Brianna Wu begins. Brianna Wu is deemed a suitable lolcow.
The games begin.
December, 2014: Brianna Wu triggers the Crash Incident, in which she is revealed to bhe a terrible pet owner.
The Glorious, long-running bit of insanity that is the Jace Connors incident begins, in which Brianna Wu attempts to make the case that Commander Stryker presents a clear and present danger to her life. Yes, Really. Null tries to run some level of damage control, only for Wu to prove to be a certified mental-case and be in it solely to milk Jace and Tyce for attention.
Ultimately, Jan Rankowski pulls the plug on Deagle Nation, and Brianna Wu looks like the biggest idiot in Anti-GG. Not even Margaret Pless is able to convince Antis that Jace is a threat to Brianna Wu's life. Ghazi openly revolts, only to suffer mass bannings due to Wu and Myers being in charge of the Subreddit and not allowing wrongthink.
