Someone posted a link awhile back that showed Brianna's asking price to be $2000. It's anyone's guess on whether or not she really gets $2000 but considering how the bulk of her appearances are 20-30 minute filler spots, I'm guessing not.

I swear to God, I know saying shit about Wu's appearance has been done to death, but I just have to say it. She looks like some sort of weird half alien/half human crossbreed made by some sort of alien race in a failed attempt at conquering humanity by infiltrating their society. Hell, even the way she talks and acts reminds me of some weird space creature awkwardly trying to control weak-minded people.

Is this supposed to sound like they have a huge library of previously released titles to point at and say "Look how perfect we shipped all our other games. Excuse the delay but we don't want to lower our standards!" when in reality all that her "studio" has to show for itself is one measly mobile game with OK-ish voicework that is otherwise so extremely wasteful with resources? Like, what?

Is that really the message that is being sent?

I remember when Blizzard was able to get away with saying stuff like this. That happened only after they made a name for themselves in the (granted, relatively limited) industry back in the day. When they didnt release titles and alter on patches before they were sure it would be a safe thing to do so.

Fuck, even EA was able to do shit like this at some point in time!

You can do that when you are an established figure in tech but not when all you have is one release of an at best mediocre iOS game.

How fucking delusional do you have to be, to basically step up on the same pedastal some giants of the industry had to climb by doing actual work for a great product without offering up any of the sweat and blood? This is utter lunacy.

Anyone else still playing the original Diablo from time to time btw? :biggrin:

To ammend, I understand that in todays environment you need to be a bit "ellbows-out" and ballsy to get attention, because everyone is a fucking professional these days, but for the love of all that is good, don't try to muscle your way into the spotlight with a turd of a first project. Even Phil Fish had more integrity than that, and that's saying something.

Nothing is sacrosanct anymore.

Why would Wu-sama need donations?

Isn't Wu a vastly successful corporate magnate whose phenomenally successful games make enormous amounts of money for Wu and Wu's backers?
 
You think if Wu needed money, she would release that near-finished game of hers. I mean, she herself promised an October release, so it can't be too far from being completed. If she just put her nose to the grindstone, I bet she could get that game released on Steam before too long. But instead she's spending time promoting her Patreon.

It's almost as if Wu isn't confident Revolution 60's ability to generate sales.
