She's doing her shitty podcast at WWDC? I highly doubt she got a WWDC pass, as they're limited to actual Apple developers, not con artists.

So, most likely she's going to San Francisco and doing her podcast at her hotel or maybe on the street outside of Moscone getting harassed by the homeless.

The only way that normal people can go is by a lottery

* To register, you need to be a member of the Apple Developer Program or Apple Developer Enterprise Program as of Monday, April 18, 10:00 a.m. PDT. Developers between 13-17 years of age must have their submission completed by their parent or guardian who is an eligible member. If you’re selected, the default credit/debit card associated with your Apple ID will be automatically charged by Monday, April 25, 5:00 p.m. PDT for 1599 USD, or in local currency where available.

and you have to pay shitload of money for it

Would't put it past Wu to have an Apple Dev Membership just because why not. Paying the $1599 out of Franks pocket for the ticket isn't that big a problem either.

So he won the lottery? im pretty sure he would be bragging about it with screenshots of the invitation

All of the podcasts (Rocket, Isometric and Disrution) are glorified knitting circles with all the gossipping and inane blah blah one would expect. Every single one of those shows I listened to or tried listening to are incredibly uninteresting, there is very little informed debate, especially from Wu, who, at best delegates who is talking and interjects with "funny haha" jokes or stories and sometimes tries to piece together a few sentences when asked a direct question about whatever the subject of the show is.
This. For a podcast to take off it needs to be informative/entertaining but also the people partaking have to be interesting and likeable.

Anyone can see Wu has absolutely nothing to offer, no insights into anything, her views are shallow and badly-informed, yet she tries to pretend to be an expert on everything purely because her ego won't let her be anything else.
I can't imagine Wu ever reaching more than a few unsalvageable chuckleheads that would lap up anything to prove they are "good boys".

Did Flynts podcast misspell accelerated on purpose?

I've no idea how tickets are doled out tbh. I just assumed you can either buy them when you have membership or your name is put in a hat if you don't.

As an aside: Rocket #73 is not sponsored by Blue Apron. I wonder if we're going to see BA shilling on twitter soon... mhh...

Registration and Tickets
Each ticket to attend WWDC costs 1599 United States dollars (“USD”) and includes access to five days of sessions, hands-on labs, and special events. Tickets are non-refundable.

Due to limited availability, tickets are allocated through a random selection process. In order to be included in the random selection process to buy a ticket to attend WWDC, you must:

  • Be a member of the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program as of April 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. PDT;
  • Submit your registration form with accurate information;
  • Verify the payment credentials associated with your Apple ID or submit a payment processing form with your credit/debit card information if the WWDC ticket or Apple Online Store is not available in your country;
  • Authorize Apple to automatically charge your credit/debit card 1599 USD, if you are assigned a ticket to WWDC; and
Be randomly selected by Apple for a ticket and have a valid purchase transaction. If there is a problem with the payment transaction, Apple reserves the right to randomly select another registrant for the ticket.

By submitting your registration form and should you be randomly selected for a WWDC ticket, you authorize Apple to complete a charge of 1599 USD by April 25, 5:00 p.m. PDT, and you understand and agree that your credit/debit card will automatically be charged and the ticket will be deposited into your Apple developer account.

Your credit/debit card will not be charged at the time of registration and will only be charged if you are assigned a ticket. If you are not assigned a ticket, there will be no charge.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account for the ticket purchase. You may want to notify your bank or credit card company in advance that you may be charged for a WWDC ticket by Apple for the amount of 1599 USD. This will help ensure your payment is processed.

You understand and agree that tickets are non-refundable. You are responsible for choosing to submit a registration form and Apple will not be liable for any errors in submission, payment, or ticket processing.

If you need to withdraw your registration, you may do so on the WWDC registration page. You may withdraw your registration until April 22, 10:00 a.m. PDT.

WWDC tickets are non-transferable. Tickets may not be sold, resold, bartered, auctioned, or transferred in any way. As an exception to the foregoing, requests to transfer tickets among eligible members of the same team may be submitted to Apple for consideration at wwdc@apple.com. Apple reserves the right to reject any transfer requests. Any other transfers will render the ticket null and void without any responsibility to Apple. Tickets are also subject to the Apple Online Store Policy. Apple reserves the right to cancel tickets or ticket orders if a buyer does not adhere to the Apple Online Store Policy or these Terms and Conditions.

tl;dr you need very good luck (and money) to enter, also the lottery ended almost a month ago, i dont know why he is saying he is going to broadcast there like its something made in a rush because he obtained a pass right now

he doesnt have a pass, maybe one of the cucks has one and he decided to tag along and throw snarls outside the conference site

There was an exception that you can have it transferred to another member of the team. Maybe that's why she's trying to weasel her way into this.

Obviously she just means that she's going to be in San Francisco where WWDC is going to be and will do a podcast from there, like literally thousands of other jamooks. There are a billion satellite events at that happen at these sorts of things for people who can't get into WWDC proper.

I'm about 75% sure she's creating a supply of fake Twitter accounts, abusive emails, maybe a threatening video or two she can bust out when she finally releases the game. That way she can make herself look relevant again and hopefully attract a fresh wave of supporters.
inb4 john puts a towel over his head and sends death threats to himself in an Uncle Ruckus style voice

BREAKING NEWS: John Flynt has suspended working on Rev60 indefinitely, will abscond with dumbasses' money!

I'm convinced this is how it will end. Wu will claim the game is totally done but he can't release it because of all the threats to his safety. I'm sure some crappy media outlets will eat it up too with headlines like "Video Game Developer Cancels Game After Death Threats". Wu walks away with $12k and got years of using the vaporware for industry cred.
