Someone who "designed" a game that may as well just be one long cutscene which does not contain intentional challenges (so far as I can tell) to the player doesn't want to actually engage with any of the gameplay that is present in FFX. Sssssshocking.

No wonder he thinks FFXIII is "one of the strongest" FF titles.

It does make me wonder though, has Brianna ever touched a difficulty above "normal" when given a choice? I'd bet no personally, too much "grind".

Unless he's running a cable from his laptop to the TV or using some screencasting method , I think there is a >90% chance that he did actually do some save editing. I'm seeing a helluva lot of tools to be able to edit PS2 and PS3 saves with about 30 seconds of googling so with a few minutes he could probably figure it out before his attention span evaporates. The lack of "how do I do this?" tweets is suspicious, but if there's one thing the modding community is fairly good at, it's documentation (providing you can find it, which in this case it seems fairly trivial) so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt there.

The key to this is that unlike the 360, the PS3 doesn't have a problem with using plain FAT32 filesystems for storing shit like saves (or at least it didn't when I backed up my saves) so I seem to recall that you can just put in a flash drive, copy off your saves, put them on your computer, do whatever the nice youtube man tells you to do with them, copy the edits back onto the drive, then put them onto the PS3 (there may be additional jiggery pokery required to put them back on the PS3, I've go no idea, I've never actually had to screw with save editing).

Someone let me know if I've strayed somewhere and got something wrong, things may have changed with firmware updates.

John and Frank got into game development when the mobile bubble still had all of its air in it. The thing is, Wu doesn't know how to manage, and Frank knows fuck all about games or development, so the game quickly ran into cost overruns and myriad development issues. Then it launched and it did abysmally; since AppAnnie became a pay-site, we no longer have figures, but we know from when they were publicly available that its best was #837 or so on the charts, and that was after all of Wu's friends lined up to give the game the most sumptuous review-blowjob imaginable.

In an effort to bolster the game, the Wu family tried to false-flag it on 4chan as part of a viral marketing plan, something that had been done by previous games. If they could get a hate-bandwagon going, Giant Spacekat could ride ironic downloads and try to push the game further ahead. The Social Justice "oppressed tranny" angle hadn't really gained too much ground yet, and so Wu tried to ride the Anita Sarkeesian train, copying her tactic with far less elegance by the time GamerGate started. Unfortunately, thanks to Sarkeesian, everyone saw exactly what Wu was right out the gate and the entire tactic died as Wu failed to attract more than dispassionate ridicule.

That level of response was the best Brianna Wu would ever be able to do. She was only given the time of day by Frank and Brianna's friends and the Ghazi crowd, who'd give anyone a platform as long as they hated GamerGate enough, and Brianna ultimately fucked even that up.

Yeah, Doom is such a quintessential evergreen classic which holds special meaning to a lot of peole. and they play it so horribly that it completely undermines their credibility as any kind of authority on vidya. It would be the equivalent of a reporter for Bloomberg doing a 30 minute segment on bonds while not knowing what the fuck an interest rate was or how it worked. I imagine that would concern a lot of people and make them think twice. Making fun of them is less about hate, and more about simple due diligence and measure of credibility.
