Wu may call herself a Democrat, she may even vote for the Democratic party, but at heart she seems completely unable to shake the core Republican conceit that being wealthy is not only moral, but that it marks you out as morally superior to poor people. It's amusing watching her clash with people who are supposed to be her ideological allies because she really can't convince herself that their positions are correct.
The only person Wu is really concerned about is herself. You can see it in the issues she chooses to talk about. She may say "tranny people", "women", or "developers", but she always means "me." I suspect that Wu's overnight conversion to a Democrat wasn't anything to do with ideology, it's a personal vendetta against a party that wouldn't give her a job.
