God damnit Brianna, that's not how domestification of the dog happened at all.

The initial domestification of animals happened because it was mutually beneficial between local wolf packs and groups of humans. Both groups were able to feed themselves as a result of being able to hunt and carry prey together. This evolved into a cleverer breeding program which made the wolves into dogs by breeding slightly less aggressive traits and the effective transferal of the "pack alpha" to a human being rather than a fellow Dog. This happend a good 26,000 years ago at the bare minimum.

Dogs became our first carrying animal in the domestic sense, they would carry food and other things in panniers on their backs and would carry out this duty without complaint because it helped take out some of the need to endlessly find food for themselves. It's also theorized that the evolution of Homo Sapiens Sapiens was secured by its domestification of wild animals and the two areas on the Eurasian continent which embraced this first were also areas of the first civilizations.

Its possibly more accidental than that. Before that wolves lived near humans to take advantage of thier scraps. Humans adopted puppies from a dying mother and raised them. If a wolf got too vicious and was not subservient to the humans it was killed off thus accidentally selecting subservient traits that lead to domestication.

If you've ever watched King of the Hill you might have seen an episode where Peggy Hill gets an opinion column. John Flynt, and every other RatKingy sperg featured here, is basically an irl tranny version of Peggy Hill given a worldwide audience, which is to say their flailing about online was never going to go over very well.
I am pretty certain a lot of the fame of people like Flynt mainly came to pass through social media being a rather new thing.
Basically, people like Wu managed to pile up enough shit in the early days of socmed's boom, that they managed to stand out. They became popular and now they remain popular cause (in a twist of tautology) they are (reasonably) popular.
But I also think this is a thing that will pass. Social Media isn't the new thing it was 10 years ago. People will use it a lot more goal oriented and not just follow any random loudmouthed sperg (or so I hope), but rather look for higher quality that they simply don't get from shallow, hatefilled, attentionwhoring people like Wu. Wu and her ilk will hopefully fade into obscurity over time. Not necessarily due to their follower-number dropping, most of those are inactive anyway (compare Wu's followers with the amount of retweets and likes it's pitiful), but rather due to noone giving a shit anymore, noone giving them attention anymore.
For a time, though, these ratkings will use their influence on (say) Kotaku to retain a pretention of importance, mainly cause there will be articles about them as if they were still relevant.
But, hopefully, they will ultimately drop into obscurity. And I also hope they'll bitch and scream and mope and chimp all the way down.

I believe this is the case only one difference, Wu wasn't successful on social media early on at all, but her Mac blogger clique were: @GlennF, @siracusa etc all have a disproportionately high number of followers compared to what they actually do because they were Twitter early adopters. She was actually friends with these people before GG so when GG happened and she repeatedly snarled at the hornets nest they were able to signal boost her to the high follower count she has today.

Flynts. Chris has said his dogs cannot be left alone in the house, are also obese, use the bathroom in the house, and will bite people. Say what you want about Flynts dogs but at least his arent that bad
When the best thing you can say about someone is "Well at least they're not as bad at something as CWC"…

Note that she doesn't say when they're going to release Rev60 on steam, just that as long as there's no meteor strike on their office this week, they'll release their game some time in the non-descript future.

In other news, A meteor strike obliterates SKG HQ, killing 2 males, a dog, a motorcycle and a whole bunch of strawmen.
In further news, the last tweet of one of the dead males read ""Gamergate launched this meteor against me!" mere seconds after the meteor hit them.
