I think one of my favorite parts was Jace's "streetracing" accident where the subtitle for the entire tirade was [unintelligible]

The Jace and Tyce parts were undoubtably the best parts of the entire segment. Aside from the [unintelligible] subtitle, my other favorite part was the juxtaposition between Brianna's melodramatic "I WAS AFRAID FOR MY LIFE" and "IT WAS THE MOST DISTURBING THING I'VE EVER SEEN" lines and the video of Jace screaming about literally nothing. I also got a kick out of seeing Tyce's eyes blurred out.

I'm on the "the producers knew that Jace was a hoax because they have functional brain stems and Googled the incident, but decided to keep it in anyway for drama" train. Somehow, I just get the feeling that the show "The Internet Ruined My Life" is more about sensationalist grabs for ratings than it is about hard-hitting reporting.

Well with a title like that, I don't think you're going to get the quality of the Buckley / Vidal arguments either.

GaymerX finally posted vid of John and Miguel's "Gaming While Tranny" talk.

John monopolizes the first seven minutes, faking sadness about "Evelyn" again and claiming he's had 9 tranny "friends" commit suicide. Miguel ends up openly playing with his phone out of boredom and annoyance.

Be prepared for an endless stream of snarl-tics.

Is Cross's accent as fake as it sounds? @zedkissed60 was dead on, the snarl tics are in full effect.

More details on "Evelyne" and her tragic suicide: she went up to the rooftop of an apartment building in winter to take an overdose of pills? Did Wu get confused with her little fantasy here? Why would you OD an a rooftop on winter? Isn't going up to a rooftop the prelude to jumping off? Whatever.

It's incredible how these two can simultaneously whinge on their victimhood while bragging. Cross laments the poverty of the trans community, while assuring us that she's "in the top 5 percent" of transwomen economically. Wu lets us know that she's "plugged in to power structures" in gaming.

But the single most surprising and revealing moment for me personally occurs at about 35:50 on, when Wu admits the joy she takes in using her twitter as the alarm to rally her personal army of whiteknights. To whit:

"I'm not gonna lie; when Gamergate first hit last year, y'know I found myself with this huge platform, I did get this thrill out of finding something terrible that someone would say, and then shame them and send an army of pissed off people at them."

She then equates doing this "thrilling" activity with justice, but it's the very idea. This needs to be remembered: Wu admits she gets a kick out of playing der fuhrer.

I really like how they went to the trouble of distorting Jace's voice for the "unintelligible" portion of his tirade.

Fact of the matter is, Wu knows full well Deagle Nation was a hoax, and has for a long time. Wu also knows that Deagle Nation was the only time anything that could even remotely be considered threatening has happened to it. (Even though anyone with at least four functioning braincells and only huffed spray paint for one hour instead of two that day would know otherwise.) For Wu, it's about the narrative and it's patreon.

SyFy likely knows Deagle Nation wasn't real, thus the time they took to edit the videos to make them much more menacing than they actually are. For SyFy it is about ratings. They care very little whether or not you believe the bullshit they just aired, so long as they keep getting those sweet, sweet advertising dollars.

TL;DR: For both Wu and SyFy, they know it is bullshit, they just want money.

I couldn't get over seeing Brianna wearing makeup. Given how she's usually aggressivelytrying to be unattractive (remember the "THIS IS A HIT PIECE" interview, where she looks like she just rolled out of bed?) it was kind of shocking.

Regarding the actual content, I actually laughed out loud at this part:

Brianna: This is the Tweet that ruined my life:

Ver archivo adjunto 78190

Brianna: Within minutes of posting that, GamerGate started countering this meme with thousands and thousands of their own, some of them threatening me with violence.
*cut to reenactment scene*

Ver archivo adjunto 78191

Brianna: It was things like "Brianna Wu, talk shit, get hit"

Ver archivo adjunto 78195 Ver archivo adjunto 78193

Brianna: It was truly scary to see them targeting me like this.

That's the example she chose? Really. Holy shit, even an elderly person who's completely out of touch, doesn't know how2computer, and falls for obvious scaremongering like this would know that being sent fucking image macros really isn't a big deal. And since when has "talk shit, get hit" ever been a legitimate threat?

I'm gonna try to power through the rest of this.

Isn't that the meme she created herself that features an actual autistic kid in the image? The one that people called her out on?

Is her face swollen or is her mouth really tiny?

Excessive amounts of makeup.

She did, indeed, make the original "meme" pics and she did take it from an autism awareness site. All the ones featured on the show were made to make fun of her attempt to force a meme and her usual attention-whoring.

Unrelated but dat wu face made me feel a touch creative

Aw, fuck exercising, this gave me a 12 pack of abs from laughing so hard.
List of lies (Lord Jesus help me, this is gonna take up an entire page)/ Catch up for anyone who doesn't want to sit through this
1. John claiming to have gotten a NES as a "girl"
2. John claiming to be a girl
3. John claiming to think that the "gaming industry would represent women more" even though he was a kid.
LOL at 1:43 they forgot to censor John's real name
4. Claiming Gamergate is a hate movement focused on women and women only
2:15 John forgets to mention that he took the whining child photo from an Autism Speaks presentation, and that's why he got so much backlash.
2:34 So it's okay for John to mock GG, but when GG mocks John back, it's harassment.
3:15 John starts getting teary voiced and claims gamergate doxxed him
5. Claiming the "DeathToBrianna" account was real
6. John claiming he hid at a hotel
7. John claiming that he went to his house each day to do his "job"
8. John actually working on the game
9. John claiming he called the police
(On another note, it was 2014, you could have traced their IPs and given it to the cops if you were so afraid.)
They're acting like they're reenacting the Diary Of Anne Frank. Except John is Mr.Van Pels, and there's no real danger.
11. CLAMING THAT JACE/TYCE WERE REAL.
12. BELIEVING THAT JACE ACTUALLY CRASHED HIS CAR
13. John claiming that there were no prosecutions because of the shitty legal system (MAYBE BECAUSE YOU NEVER TOLD THEM, NOR WERE THEY CREDIBLE)
14. John claiming that every woman he knew was scared
15. John claiming that he'd do it over again for the sake of women (and to be famous for about 5 minutes)
16. Claiming Peach was the strongest character, despite her being equal with everyone else in gameplay.

If that's true, then Wu must have never play-tested Rev60.

!!!INCOMING BUTTHURT WAVE!!!
Prepare your French Fries for the salt!

No, it's not. It's a petty issue that only deals with morons like you taking mean words on Twitter seriously.

The ride will never end, as long as Wu does something completely asstarded to keep it running.
This fuel will only last, I dunno, about 3 weeks at the most. I'm calling that.
Jace actually DID crash his car for real though. But yeah all the other points are right on.

It's possibly mildly defamatory. He did actually make that video, for instance, and it's a matter of characterization more than outright lying. The Jace "driving to kill me" shit is more defamatory since even in the dumb world of Jace Connors, he was clearly driving to challenge her to a street race. Not to kill her.
She could also get hit for slander too cant she? To commit slander you have to do so with malice correct? She tweeted the verge article that said Jace was fake therefore she knew Jace was a hoax. Syfy could possibly get hit too if they knew as well.

That right there proves she is a harasser and that she loves it. More fuel for the lolcow wiki @Jaimas

Bingo updates, since I just rewatched the video.

@CWCissey asked if Brianna saying "my Macbook" counted as product placement. The answer is yes, since she could have just as easily said "my computer" and we have seen how she always plugs the fact that she has a shiny Apple product in every other situation.
@Ruin asked about the "van driving past the house at night" square because Frank said they were afraid of every car driving past their house. But it's even better than that. It should be marked because, when Frank is saying that, they show Not!Brianna peering out the window of her front door at night as a strange vehicle drives by.
"Door being locked": Not!Brianna is shown warily looking around as she leaves the house at the end of the day and then turning around to lock the door behind herself.
"Gun/knife on screen": The beginning of the video shows clips of what is ostensibly misogyny in action in various video games, including a scene from Far Cry 3 in which the character is holding a large knife against a girl's neck.
"Film noir like lighting": Now that I've watched it once in rage mode already, I could more calmly watch it to appreciate the heavy use of shadow in the cinematography, which lets us mark off this square.

As for "Wu has real office," I realized this time around that she says she was "at [her] office" and that people from outside called her to tell her about Jace's Twitter threats, not someone from in her office. However, the office depicted has looks different from the one shown earlier in the video and looks like a manager's office, so this square definitely counts.

Congratulations, everyone! Almost every square predicted something ludicrous that was actually shown in the episode!
