The new Ghostbusters appears to have literally no reason to exist other than muh female representation. All those other movies had solid reasons to exist. I just don't see what market need this is filling or who the audience is other than assblasted SJWs who will find something to be pissed off about regardless.

The funny part is that the original movie handled Winston much more competently. He was an ordinary black guy yes, but he was also the sanest member of the team, not to mention did a great job of playing the straight man to all the crazy around him. He might have been the token black guy, but his strength was built on his acting as the only sane man.

Wu is parroting all the bullshit about how the token black woman of the reboot isn't being received well due to bad casting, and doesn't seem to realize the inherent contradiction when compared to the original. Winston succeeded as a character not due to race, but due to him playing his role as the normal guy on the team deadpanning over the lunacy around him and made it work.

What's even more stupid is John and the other SJWtards don't seem to get is that the reboot isn't getting shit on for having women and minorities, it's getting shit on because the characters are cookie cutter stereotypes and their roles revolve around those superficial qualities instead of giving them character depth beyond their race and skin color.

I also didn't like the gun licking. If it didn't have those two things I'd be more optimistic but they were bad enough that you know people said something and somehow nobody stopped it. You know someone watched the trailer before release and felt it... but that was still the trailer.

Not sure what's going on but hopefully the movie is better.
