All indication is that the new Ghostbusters movie is sensationalist bullshit and nobody will give a shit about it in less than a month.

I'm mentioning this because :reality: really chafes Brianna's bony transgendered ass.

I fail to understand why john is so obsessed with mac, get a freaking normal PC like everyone else

Do you want the real reason? Because I've got it.

Post subject: The American conspiracy against dance music

My entire adult life has been a fight to find decent dance music in America. Even with iTunes nowadays, I keep throwing artists into the system and getting no hits.

It's not a coincidence that the country that is so oblivious to deeper meaning has no concept of dance music. I try to explain it to people, but they're too indoctorinated into country and pop.

Why, I ask, is dance music not allowed to the masses in America? Is it a coincidence? Is there just no market for it? Why are so dead to something so important?

Peace, love and beats!

The 1970s and 80s called, Brianna. They say you're ignorant.

I'd like to see the entire library just to see the ridiculous shit this crazy tranny has reported as "harassment."

I can probably see a few examples:

"ERROR: Could not find "run.exe" in system files. Press OK to view debug report."

"WARNING: Unauthorized modification of "system32" may cause hardware instability and crashes. Do you wish to continue?"

"Brianna,

You owe me back pay for six weeks of work for your company. Please compensate me or else I will have to use legal means to try and get it.

Sincerely,
Natalie"

Hasn't she ever heard of something called a "folder"?

Those really could be anything. She could have just copied the same PDF a million times and deleted it all after making her "dramatic" post.

Also, you'd think a brilliant software engineer like Brianna would have some better way of managing that shit. I'm not even expecting an Access database here, just a fucking Excel workbook. But that wouldn't be as scary as scattered PDFs on a desktop.

I'm trying to create notes on Flynt's older interviews. Would make a good Wiki project, since anyone having to do this more than once would go insane.

Notes:

15:30
"I had a bunch of old boyfriends that were gamers. When I worked at GameStop I had a date there every night."

21:50 (asked about writing background)
my very first job out of college, well, actually I dropped out of college, when I was 20
and had quarter of a million dollars to basically do a television pilot
one of the ways we got that money was writing 13 episodes of a potential animated series
. . . i learned a lot more from that than if i stayed in college

26:40
when i was learning to write it was the seinfeld era

31:50
I'm gonna go get some venture capital and launch a company!

32:20
<debating on start of company, "when we moved into our current house">

35:00
amanda warner: I had an internship at a bigger studio, honing animation skills, got pregnant, got married, had a baby. when I got back we were finally at a point where maria could join full-time
35:15
maria is our first hire, our first full-time hire. John: "our _engineer_"
we had a couple contractors that would help us out.
John, loud whipser: (WHICH WE FIRED!)
Amanda: which we let go

35:40 about contractors
A complaint about GSK is that a requirement for GSK is you have to live near enough near GSK to have in-person meetings
I have ended up firing every single person I've met in my company's existence that I didn't work with in person.

37:40
We had to fire our modeler because it wasn't working out.

38:50
John says: Maria re-topologized all our models because they had 200,000 verts

40:30
For the sequel, we're going to get rid of rendered cut-scenes.

41:50
the team is five people

53:30
"the burden of leadership. Have you ever read Starship Troopers? It's not glory, it's a moral responsibility for your people. I didn't understand that until I had this job. . . My first mission is to be a good wife to my husband. I struggle with that. Amanda, you are more able to leave at five than I am."

55:05
"As my studio has grown, it's hard for me that my studio needs me to be out there doing (this) more, and doing development less."

56:20
"The last thing we were working on was polish polish polish. We are perfectionists. For the last month of shipping this game, we really led this team with a collaborative style. In the last month, we didn't need a consensus-builder as much as a decider."

58:40
"Amanda, you're still planning to go into battle with me for the next one, right?"

59:05
Amanda: "There came a point with Maria, our engineer, when she wanted to test it one more time and Victoria had to wrestle it out of her hands."

59:30
The four platforms: retina Ipad mini, ipad non-retina, iphone 4s, iphone 5s.

1:00:00
"we have not gotten any serious reports of crashing."

1:02:20
before the sequel, "i'm gonna give everybody 1 month off. I might give myself two." "I want to go down to Disney for a few weeks. Just unplug. I'm probably gonna pass Amanda the keys to my email."

1:03:50
"I'm gonna work my butt off to get Felicia Day for the sequel."

1:05:40
Unreal 4 for next version. Can support Android.

1:15:10
"If you come to my house you see Sailor Moon books that cost three-four hundred dollars to re-import from Japan that are falling apart."

1:19:25
"Two owners of this particular body part are telling you they're too big." Amanda and John Flynt asking the person who made Holiday's model he did it wrong by making the breasts too big.

1:21:00
"One of our goals for Rev 62 is to widen the acceptable body-types a bit more." Ha ha, "widen", I get it, Flynt!!

1:25:00
"Want to get Chris Harwick to play the man in the next game, and make him be self-deprecating."

1:25:20
How long to make the sequel? "18 months if we can do it."
This was made in August 2014, by the way.

1:26:20
"At some point I am going to find a contact at Sega and fly to Sega and get on my hands and knees and beg them to let me make Space Channel 5 for the ipad. ... Can you imagine how great that would be, 60s sci-fi, swiping up down up down left right 2? . . . That game was a huge inspiration for me."

1:28:10
"(Host,) I hope at some point you play (Rev 60) and can pick apart all the optimization problems in the game."

1:28:20
"About the ending: everyone dies. (just kidding?)"

1:29:10
"There is no good ending to Rev60. There is a bad ending." . . . "A design philosophy is that there should not be a correct ending. There are 24 endings, but even the best have something you sacrifice to get that."

1:31:50
"At our launch party, there's video of Frank -- he was a little drunk -- spraying champagne everywhere, including our TV and our time Capsule and (platforms). ... You can see my eyes getting really big." Can we find this? "To be fair, he has sacrificed so much for this game."

Every one of those is some random account Wu reported for not showing proper deference and/or daring to point out that she's a pathological liar and sociopath. How many of those are Wu's own followers, banned because they dared question her? How many of those are just random assholes who attempted dialogue with Wu and then Brianna was her usual "charming" self in response?

Anyway. For those curious, more on Wu and her Apple Fetishism.

Those who've been following the thread doubtlessly remember my earlier discussion with @BOLDYSPICY! - specifically, when I mentioned why Wu got a Net Yaroze and where the core of her understanding of Video Gaming lies. Short version: Wu was the 1990s version of the kid who got a super-expensive ultra-next-gen system (whether it was a success or dismal failure) and hipstered the fuck out of it.

Wu being a tech elitist on top of this is not a new event; those familiar with her work on Socially Unconscious will remember when she attacked the math department of Millsaps for daring to have computers that were over a year old:

800px-1998_04_20.png

The response by the math department, making fun of Wu's spelling, was glorious.

Wu has two beliefs that meet in her tech advocacy: A sort of barely restrained tech-hipster-ism - a love of being the early adopter who lords over the plebs - and a love of flash over substance. Nowhere is this more clear than in her shameless love of Apple products, which basically exist to cater to both markets simultaneously. With Wu, it's all about the combination of prestige and early adoption. Hence she gets expensive $1200 Macs that can barely handle stuff a $500 out-of-the-box business PC from Staples could handle effortlessly, and buys into every stupid worthless iDevice that is custom-designed to feed her sort of Autism.

Apple Watch that essentially has no purpose when you already have an iPhone and iPad? Wu has one (and every model of iPhone and iPad to boot). Apple TV that is trying to fight a battle years after Smart TVs won it by default? Wu wanted to make a version of Revolution 60 specifically for it. Every single one of these Wu is a shameless early adopter for. Wu's advocacy of Oculus and similar is along the same lines.

And it's all about stroking her own ego. She desperately wants to be the cutting-edge go-to gal who gets to say: "See, I told you this was gonna be huge. You should bow down before my impressive skills at early adoption and wealth. Because I have a finger on the pulse of this industry." Unfortunately, Wu has no sense of taste and really poor common-sense, so this happens approximately never. The one time it did was when she got the Net Yaroze and the PS1 became the dominant console of its generation.

Idly: Wu never admits to it, but I'm calling this right now: If, at some point, evidence comes up that Wu was an early adopter for the Atari Jaguar, TurboGrafx-16, TurboDuo, Panasonic 3DO, Philips CD-I, Sega CD, Sega 32X, or Dreamcast, I will be completely unsurprised.

Throwing it at Frank screaming "FUCKING CISMALE!" during a Nyquil induced rage.

How the hell did you broke a Nexus like that?

There was a Tweet where she said "my husband just smashed my tablet."

He dropped something big and heavy on it.

Dunno if they've been deleted or not, but here are the tweetsaves:

EDIT: Wu is cisplaining to transpeople who they are allowed to like again: https://tweetsave.com/spacekatgal/status/705521874831327232

I bet those reports would be pretty funny if they ever get released to the general public.

They'd also be funny if, you know, they were real.

I have no doubt at all that John Flynt obsessively reports every single tweet that offends him.

It's just very telling he just posts a graphic of all his insane reports and doesn't actually report any actual harassment.
