Uh...that would mean Wu somehow has been playing "competitively" since 1990/91. Given the lolcow records put Wu's birth in 1977, that means Johnny was 14 when they suddenly started being competitive...which is impossible.

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, the game that established the SF series as a franchise, came out in 1991. Being a "professional video game player" wasn't even a thing until 1996 (or so the info I find online suggests), so Wu's somehow claiming to be something that can't have possibly happened.

I'd say Wu claiming to play "professionally" over "competitively" is a mistake, but we all know it's to stroke her ego and make herself and her opinion seem important. What's the biggest event she's ever competed at? Has she played for a team?

I'd laugh my ass off if a REAL SF pro came in and told her how wrong she is.

Now I'm big on a lot of fighting game scenes except Super Smash Bros. 4, but the difference between competitive and professional is practicing privately and attending local tournaments and playing money matches, vs. playing for a big name team and participating in online and local competitions or being M2K himself. Playing competitively also implies you have a deep understanding of a given game's meta, tiers, character match ups, among many other things. Lots of knowledge I'm sure Wu doesn't have about any Street Fighter.

I think she only "offered/challenged" to play competitive Peggle with someone a few months ago. Any multiplayer option leaves her being carried, like in Destiny.
