It's possible that Brianna exaggerated how rich they were in order to make the 200k+ animation studio sound like no big deal. Since Flynt was an only child they were willing to blow their savings trying to get him to become a productive member of society. I really doubt they knew what the proper course of action would be to deal with John's problems and they probably thought throwing money at his college education and even PAYING for his first business venture might jump start him into adulthood.

John's parents formed a couple of LLCs to manage their real estate investments. He may have helped out with those, but isn't ever listed as an officer or registered agent of them. Never heard of Rahaim, but he has real estate LLCs as well.

Champagne is an event planner in NYC and Phillips is an IT manager in Charlotte. They're both a couple years older than John. They didn't vanish so much as John likely simply burned bridges with them, per his usual behavior.
