It occurs to me, we may be able to settle the question about whether Wu is actually adopted or not by looking for a birth announcement for John Flynt.

This site has archives of the Hattiesburg American for the requisite dates, and is the most likely place to look. The only problem is the site's business model looks extraordinarily scammy, like the sort of place that would make it really hard to actually cancel your account once you've signed up. Anyone have a prepaid visa of something that makes them brave enough to take the risk? It could be funny.
 
If this is late, I apologize. Has Brianna ever told people who his parents are? Their identity, I mean. I know he mentions them many times before, it's just that has he ever said their name?

You need to put in a bit of effort but any kind of public information you should be able to dig up for free.

We know their names, but I'm not sure if he has mentioned them.
 
I know this much: There are virtually no legitimate fans of Wu's in that stream chat.

In addition to Kiwis, we had a smattering of ED users and a few /cow/fags. I'm pretty sure Isometric knows it, too.

John wasn't born in Hattiesburg. His parents lived in Portsmouth VA when John was born.

As someone in there from the beginning of the show to the end I completely agree that no one was pro Wu.

I wonder if any of the people that have been working at the UoM for a long time know and tease him about his legacy admission child that goes on cray-cray rants on the internet. Do they know about Briann Wu? Does he keep it under wraps? Oh I so want to know.
 
Since we know Wu comes across as a mildly retarded hyperactive douch in person why do people continue to asspat her and invite her on podcasts? Are they deeply delusional devotees of social justice or do they actually think Wu will enhance their career's somehow? Surely by this point even the most committed social justice warriors realize that associating with Wu is harmful right?

I was lurking, and yeah, I refuse to believe anyone there except for the mods wasn't a secret troll.

1. The obvious trolls.
2. The time delayed trolls (waited a bit before revealing themselves)
3. The faux caring trolls (the ones asking about R60's release and acting as if the other trolling wasn't really happening best they could. Best guess is they were trying to get Wu to show up under whatever handle he was almost certainly using and stupidly reveal himself.

About the only non mod who likely wasn't a fake was Hat, and that guy is an ex-communicated GamerGater who switched sides anyway.
