Cool story: somebody I knew applied to the Feminist War Cult, Wu's Destiny clan, thinking it would be a fun place to play with people who were chill and wouldn't throw around slurs at the slightest provocation.

Turns out it's a pretentious garbage heap that does "group interviews" to determine if you're eligible to join, has a draconian screening process, and heavily controls its member base. Instead of operating like, say, every other FPS clan ("Play with us and you can join"), they decided to turn Destiny into a job with the most miserable dour-faced coworkers on the planet. It took them months to get back to my friend, who in the meantime started playing with a group of channers instead (and ended up greatly enjoying it).

Great way to run a clan.

Every time I try to post using the FeministX handle, I get the message: "This request looks like it might be automated. To protect our users from spam and other malicious activity, we can't complete this action right now. Please try again later." I tried using another browser, but that did jackshit. For shits and giggles I tried sending the same Tweet on both my actual Twitter handle and the FeministX one. Guess which handle didn't let it through?

All of this happened not too long after they locked the handle five minutes after taking it for not having a phone number, so I doubt this is coincidence.

They know I haven't done anything breaching their rules so they have to do it like this. Fuckers.

So is this the Twitter version of shadowbanning? There was a bunch of drama recently with people accusing them of doing it, maybe that's what's happened to the account? Interesting how they were so quick to take action as well, they'd presumably pre-emptively added it to some sort of monitoring tools. All that effort to stop someone saying hello to New Zealand.

Would be interesting to see what they say in reply to a reasonable email to their support asking why they're preventing you from actually posting anything. Chances are they'd just ignore it in order not to give you any ammunition, though.

If it is shadowbanned, I think Milo might be interested. From what I saw of the drama (I didn't pay much attention to it, tbh), it had something to do with him and people he's linked with.

So if this is 'evidence' of it, he might want to see it for an article.
