This is the sort of event that has made me reconsider the realism of "found footage" films, i.e. why someone would keep recording instead of dropping their camera even as they're being chased by murderous criminals or cultists or are seeing a hideous monster emerge from a cave - a streamer or influencer or Youtuber in one of those fictional situations would probably record all the way up to getting their head chopped off or having their internal organs sucked out through a creature's grotesque proboscis. They're streamers. Everything is content.

sorry to hear that if its any consolation he eventually will age into too creepy for 20 year olds and any woman older would not touch him. My dad tried normal dating prior to his second marriage no relationship survived the contact with the real reason why my mom divorced him so he resorted to arranged marriage . Yeah I give him an A for effort but a F on execution. If he had spent just a little time doing research he could have easily killed them both. You can cut the shells on bird shot and turn them into a hillbilly slug. Also works great as breach shot for knocking out hinges and locks on doors. If he was using something like a mossberg 500 then he has 6 rounds if using 3 inch shells. 2 or 3 rounds to breach the door. Then 1 center mass shot for each of them to do the deed and a final round to end it all. Done and over in less then 30 seconds. A jacket pocket full of shells in case he was sloppy and bobs your uncle.

Using a rifle for close quarters home defense probably isn't the best option. Dude could be ducking into random rooms and while you're tunnel-vision hyper-focused and a little jumpy with the adreneline pumping, the blood pounding in your ears, you won't take notice of just how close you are to the walls that surround you. Suddenly you hear something from behind and trying to react to it do a quick 180, but end up getting the barrel stuck on the structure and then you got a knife in the gut; RIP you lost that game of Fortnite. I just think a rifle could end up being too clumsy to be optimally effective, especially if you live in a place with tight halls and narrow doorways. I personally feel that in a civilian CQC situation a decent high-capacity handgun or a short-barreled 6+1 pump-action with a cylinder choke and some 00 buckshot would be the way to go.

The best gun that you can use is the one that you are familiar with. As to home defense, I highly suggest following the advice of Massad Ayoob. Even most gun aficionados are not trained well enough to clear ones home.

As to Hunter, he seemed trapped on the patio. He should have had a fire escape ladder. They are about $60 on Amazon.

Yeah and it looks like just a 2-story building they're in. So you could just go over the balcony even with no ladder. I've jumped off a second-floor balcony before (carefully) it's not that much of a drop. Better than just waiting to die.
