Considering that YouTube runs on billions at a perpetual loss and the amount of money they would gain is in the millions, I would say no.There will be an update in a couple of days that will fix the advert/breakage issues on YouTube. This happens like every few months.
The amount of engineering needed for this is non-trivial, and I often wonder if it is worth the extra cash to try to fight the ad-blockers.
It was pretty much just the honey scam, they would inject their own promo codes into crypto exchange websites without telling the user. Typical "it was mistake saar we fix it saar" response. While searching for a way to fix watching YouTube on Brave (successful) I saw a comment on reddit
"Amazing to me that people are still willing to use the Brave browser after its creators literally got caught building malware directly into it lol. Ignorance is bliss I guess?"
What's this about, any ideas?
I don't think that is the case anymore. They were estimated to have made 10bn last year.Considering that YouTube runs on billions at a perpetual loss and the amount of money they would gain is in the millions, I would say no.
Not sure if uBO would get first, or if Brave enables same default lists as it. Might try uBO maybe. Only advantage Brave's uBO bootleg in rust has is it being a lower level thus allows CNAME flattening.YouTube must have updated something because ads are getting through on Brave, but not Morphe. Not even putting shields on aggressive will do anything and same goes for updating lists.
The dev of uBO works for Brave, IIRC.Not sure if uBO would get first, or if Brave enables same default lists as it. Might try uBO maybe. Only advantage Brave's uBO bootleg in rust has is it being a lower level thus allows CNAME flattening.
Morphe et al don't pull the ad, so nothing to even deal with, unlike content filters which have to mitigate via rules.
