One thing Brandon has seen the older you get the more you see in life. Black men aren't respected in society, other races people women respect men. Black women don't respect men. He's thought about this when he woke up. Only black women don't respect men. A lot of black women mention no good black men and are "forced" to date interracially.
Society has a bad view to black men. If he had it his way, he wouldn't be black. When you are a black man you are destined to have negative shit in life. For black men to be respected by black women. Brandon fiddles with his phone. You have to as a black man : you have to be an exception to the rule. If you are mixed or light skin, you get respected. If you are a regular brother you get less respect. This is sad.
When you are a black man who's not the negative stereotype of BET. As a black man you don't get respect for being decent. But if light skinned or mixed you do. As Brandon's dad told him as he was young @ 4:26 "the world hates a nigger" What stunningly great advice to give a child. He also said it's hard being black, or any race. His dad could not have been more real to him.
Being a black man is not beautiful. Lord knows he's still black. He sees why his dad told him this. His dad wanted him to see what he was going to deal with. Brandon agrees. The world really does hate a nigger Brandon told us. Black men need to work extra hard because people have negative stereotypes. Even if you are a good black man people think you are a BET black man.
It's disgusting, when you can see other races men being respected by women. Other races treat men like kings. Black women don't respect men and hate black men. Brandon's father told him black women don't respect black men, ironic being Brandon is black on both sides he claims.
You have never seen a hispanic or white women insult a man. (Citation needed) As a black man you'll be hated. As a young Brandon didn't know people hate black men, but people really do hate black men. To restate he's not proud of being a black man. It's sad. He wouldn't mind being Puerto Rican. He's aware people tell him he's got self hate because he wants to be another race. People can state this it is what it is. He could care less.
He really wanted to talk about this because if you think about it and he urges us to think it. There's nothing good about being black. His own race of women shun them. As a black man you can't be average looking to be seen good looking. To be good looking you need to be good looking. WAT.
He can truly say as a young black man nothing beautiful of being a black man most of your life will be bad because you are a black man. If he was any other race the bad things in his life wouldn't be part of his life. That's why he says "fuck being black I'm out"
