I don’t even think they had to divorce, Nikki never filed for divorce only for custody of their son.

I’ve seen rumors on Reddit that they don’t have to worry about the marriage in the US because they had a destination wedding in Iceland and after the ceremony they never bothered filling any paperwork in the United States meaning they were never more than common law married.
