The animation looks nice, but really, this is just a pathetic gimmick, much like Nine Lives (Starring Kevin Spacey) this movie is based it's marketing on one of the oldest and dumbest tricks, using a famous actor/actress as a voice of something cute and sell the movie on that idea alone, basically this movie and many others like it, will be a predictable dribble (Pun intended). I heard that this is based on a book, but the trailer doesn't look promising in the least.

The situation surrounding Nine Lives is unintentionally so sad that it's almost funny though.

I remember seeing the trailer when I went out for Finding Dory. Wouldn't be surprised at all to find out Adam Sandler had his hand in this.

My main problem is the characters look so boring and generic. I just watched the trailer and I barely remember what the parents looked like because the designs are just so bland and forgettable.

I thought this was gonna be about a baby running a company, like something the Simpsons would make up as a gag.

I saw a different trailer for this before Rogue One. If the trailer in the OP makes this look like a 1-star movie, then the trailer I saw makes it look like a 2-star movie, seeing as my dad and I actually chuckled at a couple jokes. I highly doubt I'll see it in theaters, though.

Alec Baldwin must have owed somebody a favor or something.

Nah, he was probably thrilled. Voice acting is easy work. No make up prep, no wardrobe, hell, you don't even have to play off another actor, because you have to record all your lines alone in a studio.

Not to mention he probably got paid a decent amount for the job. Also, if it happens to do well, it could land him more roles in animated kids movies, which are usually safe bets as a money maker.

So unless he invested money in this movie himself, there's no downside to him taking this role

Saw a trailer for this before Moana (great movie btw) and wondered who on earth would find this type of movie appealing? The Simpsons jokes with an ape for the president and the like worked because they were so ridicolous, but as a premise for a whole film?

The only way to get people unironically watching this would be to lie and decieve about what the film includes, basically pretending it's a completely different film, otherwise just a flanderised Homer Simpson or a real baby may enjoy something like this.

We could've had this instead from Dreamworks, but it was not to be. :-(

Apparently, the director of Cats Don't Dance and Emperor's New Groove was going to direct this.

There used to be a brief test clip of this film on YouTube but Comcast/NBC Universal decided we can't have fun and put a stop to it. :(
