I believe the concept of alumni donating to the university will die out with the boomers. Xers, millennials, and zoomers have a brutal amount of student loans to pay off. If they ever get paid off, the last thing they want to do is willingly donate to their Alma mater. My loans all got paid off and I have no inclination to give them another dime. I’ve said as such before to alumni organizations and got the “we’re sorry you feel that way” spiel. I think this will rapidly accelerate the decline of colleges, especially the private ones. As mentioned before, we are down 8.43% from peak attendance but if we remove the turd worlders, it’s likely well into the double digits. I’m sure the numbers are out there but I can’t be assed at the moment to dig in deeper. But I think college in 80 years will resemble what college used to be 80 years ago: just something for the very rich and very intelligent.

The fucking minute you make something of yourself those fuckers are on the phone day and night hounding you like you haven't already paid them a shit load for you crappy education. I had my first "donation call" from some private high school I attended. I actually to laugh and ask the lady on the other end what on earth possessed them to phone me considering I left that shithole after a year when they covered up that prefects were abusing me. They truly have no shame.

What specifically about them causes these issues conpared to other degrees?

It's in the name. A master's in theory should be for a select people who want to master a particular skill and focus solely on that skill. To power level I have a masters in Forensic Accounting because forensic accounting is my specialization in the profession and it is actually necessary. However now days because boomers have pulled up the work place ladder to keep themselves in cushy position, you need a masters just to get a basic entry level position and the qualification has now lost all meaning.

So anyway, the other day I made a joke about how if every jew acted like Ben Shapiro the holocaust would have been justified and now my dad thinks I'm some card carrying Nazi who wants Israel wiped off the face of the map. Best part is he doesn't even know who Ben Shapiro is and is to lazy to bother to find out.

A year ago my mom also threatened to sue my sister and I for $2million for alleged back child support.

Let's do the math on this. Your parents obviously lived together for at least a few years so we'll say your mother covered you both for 12 years.
Your mother would therefore be claiming that she spent $166,000 annually to raise two children. Ask her what happened to all those first class trips to ski in Val-d'Isère?
