Basically, the fucking moron went to a plastic surgeon spouting bullshit about HOW AUTISM CAUSES CHANGES IN FACIAL FEATURES and if he removes those facial features, he'll remove the autism. The plastic surgeon in France clearly told him it was impossible, so he went to an American one. They palmed him off with 4-monthly botox injections that do LITERALLY nothing to change his face. I think Boogie will go through with it. The question is if the doctors will do it. Boogie isn't going to force any doctor if he believes that the outcome will be death, no matter what Boogie says. There is always a risk, but if his heart is bad or there are other circumstances that make the surgery even more dangerous, it won't happen. And we will be treated to unimaginable levels of whining.

I'm sorry to say this if you live in AK, but I don't think people who graduated at the top of their class in med school and become reknowned doctors end up living in Arkansas. That doesn't mean he'll get bad medical care but for him to say it's world-class is another delusion. Go to Mass General, UCSF, Johns Hopkins if you want world class, not Bumfuck Arkansas Mercy Community Helpmegod Hospital.

If he has not had a multidisciplinary team that includes surgeons, psychiatrists, dietitians, and exercise physiologists all working to help him uncover the causes of obesity and teach him the way his new body will get nutrition, get stronger, and how to handle life without food, then he is fucked. And he hasn't mentioned that, at least that I remember. I do remember that he recently said he hoped he'd only have to miss cake on his birthday one year, which definitely doesn't sound like mental progress to me.

I don't want anybody to die so I hope he pulls through. But then we are for sure going to see a new Boogie, one who can't medicate his troubles away with food. His life is going to feel really empty because he likely eats all day and thinks about eating the rest of the time. He'll either get very angry or very depressed, or both, and he'll have to find a substitute obsession. Should be interesting.
