If the patient keeps to their treatment regimen, they can expect to live a relatively normal life and die of old age. A close friend of mine has had PV for 22 years now and is probably in better shape than I am.

The main concern with PV beyond blood clots and strokes is that the chemotherapy used to control it, even though it is in low doses, significantly increases the chance of developing AML later in life, and AML is a blood cancer that absolutely will kill the fuck out of you.

She's not at Boogie's house at the moment, Keem doesn't think they broke up, but he got his info from Boogie who is saying she was sent home for the weekend because of their fears of the shaman. Boogie is incredibly stressed out and throwing a pity party at the moment which usually coincides with relationship issues.
So who knows. It'll become clear soon enough.

When Dez 1.0 went to Michigan, she was surrounded by friends and family that encouraged her to ditch Boogie and move on with her life. I'm not sure that Dez 2.0 has that luxury. I'll give it my best shot because I've been casually following the lolcowdom of Boogie since 2016. This is all from memory to I'll accept any criticisms/amendments from the Loremasters.

Dez 1.0 had a college degree and worked in management/HR at Walmart. She had some kind of savior complex, strong "I can fix him" instincts like a lot of women do. Boogie took advantage of this and got her to quit her job and take care of him. She was originally from Michigan so they would go on road trips to the Upper Peninsula to visit family on a yearly basis. But as you can imagine, he would bitch and moan about how hard the trip was. You can search his youtube channel for stuff like "Michigan Road trip" and see what I mean. There's one video where he films himself playing WoW on a laptop in a cabin by the lake. Imagine going through the effort of wheeling this fat blob across the country to experience nature and instead he sits inside and plays video games. Dez 1.0 must have been embarrased as hell showing her family that this dullard was the best she could do for herself.

Eventually he had a meltdown during the first hour of the trip to Michigan and she brought him back home and went up herself. Maybe during the 12 hour drive up north she started thinking about life without him, calling friends/family, etc. Then when she got up there, all of her family and friends consoled her and reassured her that she should leave him. After that, she started needing "extended trips" because "one of my friends really needs some help" (probably Skinny Pete).

When she made the decision to dump his ass, it was completely unexpected. Her parents showed up and they helped her move out right then and there. Boogie likes to portray their divorce as mutual, amicable, and respectful, but in reality he was completely devistated and blindsided by it. No way they are still friends, she threatened to sue Mike Clum if she was included on his documentary. She moved on from this nonsense years ago and wants nothing to do with it.
