Sorry if this has already been said but:

Polysytemia Vera (PsV) is not cancer. It is blood disease.
Best and only treatmens that work and keeps people alive are healthy diet, exercise, weight loss and,if necessary, some blood letting.
So… what you're saying is that he's never going to be cured.

Whoa, Fat Boogie (Bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Fat Boogie (Bam-ba-lam)

99% of the public responses have been positive and wishing you well. If you're coming to places like here and expecting asspats though, you're just looking to get upset.

It is tough, the clonal mechanism of cancer is there, there are also treatments that specifically target the malignant clones that it produces, such as ropeginterferon alfa-2b, it's effective to the point some patients don't even have to rely on phlebotomy anymore and have reduced risk of thrombosis, rusfertide also controls hematocrit count which further helps avoid this.

And considering boogie's limbs are close to rotting the fuck out, *if* his baby cancer diagnosis is true (it isn't), he better hope he is responsive to these agents.

To Boogie, this is likely the best thing that could have happened to him. Very slow cancer that will probably not kill him before his lifestyle does, and he gets to use cancer as a shield and for the ultimate sympathy card.

Let's be real here though, I don't believe him and you shouldn't either. It's just too incredibly convenient given the type of cancer he's talking about.

Also the best outcomes for patients with this form of cancer are only about 10 to 20 years of life, before they usually throw a clot and stroke out from the thickened blood. And that's assuming you're following all of your doctor's instructions to the letter, exercising as ordered to loosen the thickened blood and eating foods that don't irritate the condition.

If he doesn't follow the instructions, it's more likely he'll fit in the 1.5-5 years of life camp, Boogie either is going to have to take this as a wake up call to live better or die soon.

Knowing him, he's going to the short camp, he will assume his drug injections will do all the work and promptly find out what happens when your circulatory system looks like Istanbul during rush hour.
