💰 Grifter Boogie / Boogie2988 / "Francis" / Steven Jason Williams - Fat, Rapidly Declining Divorced "Nice Guy" Middle-Aged Youtuber, Former Edgy Porn Blogger, lied about having cancer and being molested. Cohost of fake drama show "Lolcow Live (LCL)". Just WILL NOT die.

This is basically him trying to grip the narrative and steer it because he knows that people are going to come here. It's pretty much:
"I've bookmarked it and check it twice a week but of course it matters so little to me that I don't even remember the name. And all of the people there are crazy and probably dangerous, don't believe them."

You can bet he's here at least once a day.

He said he does last month but only to make it clear he was pretending to be exceptional all along. He obviously still lurks r/samandtolki too since he randomly goes there to post passive agressive remarks.

Don't worry about getting shot Boogie, i doubt anyone here has a harpoon cannon.

Any time somebody pretends not to know the name, it’s a dead giveaway that they are an avid reader.

And speaking of dead, nobody wants to kill boogie1488. We just want to laugh at him.

Anybody who cuts 80% of their stomach out and reroutes their GI system to prevent eating and metabolize food differently, and STILL stays fat and relies on a scooter, well, they deserve laughter. The fence sitting, tears, and cucking is just a nice little bonus chuckle.

So correct me if I am wrong here, but isn't type 2 diabetes on-set by a large amount of weight?
Boogie1488 was a type 2 diabetic, but that was one of the first things to be cured early on after his surgery. He also stopped having to take blood pressure medication at about the same time.

I always wonder how these YTers are going to fare when age catches up with them and the money stops rolling in.
I wonder how many of them don't have health insurance. There's a Magic: The Gathering YouTuber who's pretty successful who doesn't have health insurance. He had to have emergency spine surgery and now owes at least $200,000. He, of course, is turning to his fans to pay a majority of his hospital bills.

The guy could have paid for his own insurance if he wanted to. It's not like he didn't have the money.

A good policy is to donate to charities that help everybody or to donate to people who would do the same for you.

Looks like the Jew Bros. got him on their REACT show to react to old cringy shit with other losers..

The Vlog Brothers are underappreciated lolcows.

Also, bullshit Boogie, you ain't makin shit for IGTV. You're just unable to say no.

Wasn't there like a meme going around about Boogie complaining about Healthcare? How how someone else had to pay for it or some such since he couldn't afford it? Also I get people have bills but I know for a fact when you're well over 1m+ subs you're making a decent chunk of change. Why not be smart and actually buy insurance? Are people that braindead?

B-but he has to buy merchandise crap and junk food too!

I don't have links but he absolutely lost his fucking mind when obamacare was about to be repealed. There was lots of actual "you're literally killing me", it was great. I love when someone spends two decades eating themselves to death and then suddenly gets offended that not everyone wants to pay the consequences for him.

That was a fabricated tweet originating from The_Donald - the best he could've done is ignore it, but he had to keep defending himself which fed the trolls.

This site could be useful for YouTube personalities (or anyone else who ends up on our radar). It's easy to get caught up in fame even with just a small number of followers. Being laughed at is hard, but humor is more honest. So called friends and fans may not tell them what they need to hear, just what they want to hear.

I'm curious as to whether or not Boogie will be able to make more progress or if he'll regress and remain entrapped in lolcowdom.

Found it. Google-Fu hasn't gone rusty on me yet. Can anyone confirm whether this is a meme or not?

Granted, my point stands, when you eat like this and then you wonder why you have these health issues, well maybe you should look at what you're eating and your calorie intake. I won't be surprised if the big man in a few years tries to say he lost the weight on his own not due to the surgery and thousands of dollars that went into it.

Part of me wants to know the look on the surgeon's face when he or she had to cut Boogie open.

I'm thinking something like this. -

I wonder how much that surgeon got paid...

Boogie1488 was a type 2 diabetic, but that was one of the first things to be cured early on after his surgery. He also stopped having to take blood pressure medication at about the same time.

Minor quibble: he wasn't "cured" of Type 2 after his surgery, his blood sugar levels just improved to where he was no longer classified as diabetic. If he continues to eat sugar laden foods and stays morbidly obese his blood sugar levels will again rise and he'll be in the threshold for a clinical diagnosis again.

As for the other inquiry about "how much his surgeon was paid" -- probably a lot. Probably more than is usual for the surgery given how extensively Boogie had to search for someone that would do the surgery even though he was a high risk to die on the table and/or be non-compliant after and risk complications.

When you have diabetes, it manifests with high blood sugar, but there's a lot going on before it gets to that. Over time, you cells become more immune to insulin, a hormone the body needs to break down sugar and get it into cells. To make up for this developed immunity to insulin, your pancreas begins pumping out more and more insulin. You finally get to a point where the pancreas burns itself out and either begins producing weak insulin or no insulin at all. This is when your blood sugar goes up in a blood test.

My guess is that Boogie1488 declared his diabetes to be gone because he wanted more positivity to be related to his surgery. He stalled out fairly quickly. My guess he never had diabetes or he lied about it going away. The weight loss surgery isn't going to make his pancreas pump out better insulin or his cells less immune to insulin.

From what I understand, bariatric surgery "curing" diabetes is actually a rather common phenomenon although it's not really understood why this is happens. Of course, you can always easily get it back if you don't maintain your weight loss, so lets see how long this lasts.

The different types of Diabetes have different levels of severity & origins. Sometimes it's genetic in origin, the victim is otherwise healthy but they're unlucky enough to inherit a full-on pancreas shut-down & lose their eyesight or are prone to anemic wounds & infections(especially around the legs). The folks who get it because they just eat like absolute shit have a fair chance of bouncing back from it to full functionality, especially if they only hit the insulin-resistance phase and not full-on insulin immunity/pancreas crash. Boogie just ate like shit, his blood sugar levels were erratic, and they've since stabilized along with his diet. Conversely, the inherited diabetics aren't fat at any point to begin with, at least never to Boogie levels.
