This is about the Faux News sexual harassment scandal.
Stars Megyn Kelly (Charlize Theron), Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman), and of course Roger Ailes (John Lithgow)

By the way set photos of Charlize.....holy shit she looks exactly like Kelly. We're talking Faye-Joan, RDJ-Chaplin, Blanchett-Dylan, Miller-Sedwyck here.

This is one of the worse fucking trailers I have ever seen. It literally tells you nothing about it, other than it takes place at Fox News.

Also, I'm sure this movie isn't politically motivated at all, and totally not purposefully timed to be close to the coming election or anything.

But more importantly, this just isn't an interesting enough subject matter for a movie.

Would Rather watch Tucker Carlson:Origins where he and a crack team of interns discover /pol and want to spread the message of autism to the people by tricking women into making false claims about Bill O'Reilly because he was in the pocket of American Traitor posing as Hero John McCain.

That was my first thought as well. The trailer feels like its made for a very specific audience of sad 40 year old liberals who grew up watching Jon Stewart and want to relive their glory days of sticking it to Fox News.

So is it wrong if I jerk off to the movie? Do I forfeit my ally card?

If you're yanking it to Charlize Theron, you might as well forfeit your man card too; that woman is so emasculating, she can do it remotely.

Why is this boomer drinking Monster? Monster is a zoomer drink.

It's because boomers are trying to be cool with their grandkids, or at least keep up because they're tweaked on sugar & ADHD meds.

Monster Zero (the white one) is the Boomer drink. At least in all the hot memes I've seen lately.

For the record the white one is sugar free. Not sure if that's significant or not.

Another movie about Fox News?
There was a miniseries that aired on Showtime about the guy who created Fox News, it's called The Loudest Voice, with Russell Crowe, Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane and Naomi Watts.

Hey whatever way we can enforce the right opinion on the populace.

Margot Robbie yet again trying to glorify bullshit. Remember when she helped a certain skating criminal get a redemption tour?

The trailer and marketing were shit.

The film was surprisingly good. Very self aware.

Theres a reason why it got an Oscar. Charlize Theron is terrifyingly real as Megyn Kelly. It's like an animatronic come to life. Nicole Kidman was good.

I cant unsee John Lithgow. Hes one of the few character actors who can do comedy and also be outright scary. This and his role on Dexter are delightfully evil.

Kate McKinnon plays a fictional ironic character.

Alana Ubach as Jeanine Pirro tho is right up there with Charlize. Look at her in Sister Act 2 and Legally Blonde. Then look at her in Bombshell.

I liked the second trailer, the one that actually tells you a bit about what you're watching.

The film itself I was surprised to like as much as I did. Everyone's really good, but Charlize Theron especially just is Megyn Kelly. I thought it was really well done, and it didn't pull punches in showing how there are women who are as much if not more complicit in perpetuating these sexist environments as men. This isn't a story about evil men keeping down innocent victims, it's a story about the complex dynamics in play that, yes, includes sexual harassment and a toxic environment, but also how different women navigate that system.

Which makes it sound boring. It's not. As I said, I really enjoyed it. It's much more interesting than it could have been.
