I'll never understand why they didn't keep the original title, Rich Assholes Feeling Sorry for Themselves.

I have very mixed feelings on this season so far. I am getting tired of it seeming that Bojack is the only one suffering any consequences for his bullshit, Princess Carolyn is the only character who gets shit on constantly despite being possibly the most decent person on the show, and characters like Todd and PB never getting any comeuppance. With Diane... IDK, she definitely gets shit thrown in her face but for some reason a lot of it feels hollow and I am not sure why.

I'd probably chalk that up to poor writing. As well as how the show's title pretty much means Bojack's the only one whose torment is explored in detail.

Ehhhh, I found a lot of past episodes about Carolyn and Diane to be pretty brutal, especially the great granddaughter and Vietnam episodes. So I'm not sure if that part is true. Though the writing for this season is definitely worse than the last few.

At last, we will finally know if he is more horse than man. Or if he is more man than horse.

And maybe if Ralph the mouse guy will come back? He was a really solid character and PC just throws him away. I hope so since Judah came back, why not Ralph too?

i feel like that bit with his dad proved more horse than man already

Eh, I don’t know about Todd. Sure he does stupid things, but he never struck me as a guy who needed comeuppance. He gets taken advantage of a lot and goes out of his way to help people. Sure, there’s the whole clown dentist thing, but I found that whole bit hilarious.

PB I agree with though. I was kinda hoping the whole bit with Pickles would be a bit weightier but instead we got an episode which treats the whole thing as something humorous and PB came out of it with relatively little consequence.

Anyway, kinda hope Wanda comes back. (Haven’t watched the new preview video as I want to go in blind.) She was probably one of the best things to happen to Bojack and I wouldn’t mind seeing them catch up.

Final trailer for the final season. The positive tone kind of makes me squirm with a certain sense of overwhelming dread.

I'm convinced that this is going to end, badly. I always remember that part in the 3rd Season, where Bojack drunkenly promised Diane that when he was going to kill himself, he was going to make sure it was infront of a lot of people.

Now, it seems his past may be about to catch up with him, and all the world might be paying attention by the last episode.

Secretariat was his childhood hero. Secretariat was his dream role as an actor. I can't help but wonder if his story will end, ultimately, just like Secretariat's did.

I think I haven't watched the last 1.5 seasons but maybe will watch the finale. The big problem with Bojack is that every season end promises he'll make some life changes, only to revert or become worse the next season. I don't know if it's deliberate case of status quo or not. It doesn't help that as the seasons went it became more political, with some truly idiotic episodes like the gun debate one.

I've finally caught up with this. Wow, what a blast. The underwater and funeral episodes are pure art. I'm really not keen on Todd though - he and his dumbass antics belong on a Cartoon Network show; PB serves as sufficient comic relief.

Bojack's sober and on a good path but it looks like his past is going to catch up with him yet again. I feel that the intro, along with other hints serves as premonition as to how his story will end, and it will involve water (Secretariat died by jumping off a bridge into water, there's a painting of a young horse in a swimming pool in his office, Bojack described his family situation as them all "drowning together") or maybe the presence of water is a metaphor for his rebirth? In utero you're surrounded by amniotic fluid.

I'm also still reeling from the revelation that these animal people have animal genitalia. Diane got poked by PB's red rocket. Gross gross gross gross gross.

Just finished the last episode and i think it can safely be said that this is easily one of the best pieces of media in human history

The only real downside i can see is todd's inane bullshit really dosen't work with any of the other storylines going on at the smae point and none of his relationships are really engaing. we barley see anything of him and his girlfreind who is pretty boring and the storyline with his mom is also underwelming

that being said the rest of the season is a masterpiece

my favorite episode was episode 15 with
bojack having a dinner party with everyone who as died throughout the series and the musical number with sarah lynn

the only way i would have changed it would be to have less todd screentime and
Bojack dying which would have made the scence of him confronting death much more meaningfull

and for people who havent seen it yet - let's just say fans of Do The Bojack are in for a real treat

Última edición:
The poem from Episode 15 (the best of the season, IMO), for those who want it transcribed:

The weak breeze whispers nothing
The water screams sublime
His feet shift, teeter-totter
Deep breath, stand back, it’s time
Toes untouch the overpass
Soon he’s water bound
Eyes locked shut but peek to see
The view from halfway down
A little wind, a summer sun
A river rich and regal
A flood of fond endorphins
Brings a calm that knows no equal
You’re flying now
You see things much more clear than from the ground
It’s all okay, it would be
Were you not now halfway down
Thrash to break from gravity
What now could slow the drop
All I’d give for toes to touch
The safety back at top
But this is it, the deed is done
Silence drowns the sound
Before I leaped I should’ve seen
The view from halfway down
I really should’ve thought about
The view from halfway down
I wish I could’ve known about
The view from halfway down

PB I agree with though. I was kinda hoping the whole bit with Pickles would be a bit weightier but instead we got an episode which treats the whole thing as something humorous and PB came out of it with relatively little consequence.

The whole thing with Pickles and PB is that they're both vacuous, self centered people who don't actually put a lot of meaning on intimacy or fidelity. A boyfriend/girlfriend is a thing you have but that doesn't mean you have to respect it anymore than your other transitional possessions. PB overcompensates because he's aware on some level that he's incapable of forming meaningful relationships but can't work out why. He puts the right amount of kindness coins into the girlfriend machine but happiness doesn't seem to come out. Pickles first response to getting cheated on is to decide she needs to ride miles of dick in order to get 'even' and PB is so keen to make her happy that he doesn't see a problem with it. The message I take from that is that actually, some people are just fucked up, and they live how they choose to live, and a lot of those people don't deserve the lifestyle and wealth they have but they have it anyway, and can be happy through things that make most people mad, so get over it, people like that will always exist.
